Tell ABC News's Major Advertisers They Will Be Boycotted For Supporting Biased News HERE!

Let the Boycott of the major advertisers of admitted biased network ABC begin!  Herein you will find a list of. and contact info for, ABC's major advertisers!

As many of you are aware, CBS spiked the biased mini-series "The Reagans" when Americans threatened to boycott CBS advertisers (although pay-channel Showtime purchased it later).  I believe that this tactic can be used to eliminate some of the media bias going into the the critical, life-or-death 2004 presidential election.  Here is what I am proposing.

Our lives, essentially, depend on President Bush's re-election -- Kerry will turn the War on Terror into a dangerous PC farce.  We can't take that risk.  However, ABC News has admitted (see here) that it will be actively campaigning against Bush.  Contrary to the general wisdom there is something we can do to remedy this.  Keep in mind, the evening news is a business like any other business.

Please contact ABC's major advertisers (listed below) and tell them that companies that support biased news WILL BE BOYCOTTED, just as CBS's advertisers were boycotted for "The Reagans".

It’s about time Conservatives stated using this tactic. It’s been used by the Liberals for a long time. Back in 1995, I was working for a Republican Congressman on the Telecommunications and Commerce Committee and was invited to the NBC Christmas Party. It was attended by all their stars as well as representatives for all their sponsors. At the time Rush Limbaugh was on TV and his show despite high ratings was being broadcast at 2:30 AM in the morning in New York. Every time the ratings went up the show’s time was moved to a later time slot. During the daytime Rush was relegated to selling his own ties despite an audience of over 25 million listeners. At the party I inquired as to if ATT wireless was considering advertising on Rush noting that the rates are dirt cheap. An angry representative of the company responded that we can reach that audience elsewhere. I knew at that time that they were getting pressured. The pressure is also put on Newspapers by the retailers that are run by Democrats. This explains why much of the press is Liberal.

I don't buy much P&G, our Penney's went out of business, I ate at MicKie D's tonight, but won't in the near future after seeing this, can't afford Cadillac, don't need Kodak, won't need HP, we just got a Home Depot last month - won't be going there now, and Clinton's marlet bubble cleaned out my investments, so I don't need Schwab.

BTW - I was down to near zero in my stock portfoplio before Bush was ever declared the winner. My $180,000 in Mar. 2000 had shrunk to about $10,000 by late November. They were admittedly mostly high-risk stocks, but the rampant fraud that was allowed in those times ABSOLUTELY caused me ALL of the mentioned losses.

Ever notice that point is NEVER made on the lamestream media. They actually try to make it seem like the excesses of the late '90s were Bush's "rich oil friends". No it was Bush who had to clean up that mess. They also stress how Enron execs went to the White House for special help, but they forget to mention that they didn't get any special help. We all know from 8 long years of X42 that when his big donors came for special favors they didn't leave empty handed. And they have no trouble linking Cheney with Haliburton (on a daily basis), but are incapable of linking McAwful with Global Crossings. Hey, NO BIAS there.

I hate to go off-topic but have you ever noticed that California's energy problems were not caused by their refusal to build any generation plants in the last 15 or 20 years? Or their lame "deregulation" plan? No, it was caused by...altogether now..."Bush's rich oil buddies".

You're right. ABC has been heroic here. Let's support their honesty. It's a good step.

"Any comments?"

Sure! After a long overdue outbreak of honesty, lets reward it with a public hanging. That will teach the bastards to open their mouths. Not!

It sounds like the y2k bug got you. Most have never figured this out, but for y2k, the US computers were reputed to be the best prepared in the world. So, foreign countries poured their money into US stocks in 1998-1999, often into unwise investments and companies which had no product. Gigantic sums, driving the US stockmarket up in that 'exhuberance' (mis-attributed to xlinton economics).

When 2000 came, and the bugs did not appear (in any great number), the last time they needed to prove it was gone was the end of the first quarter of 2000. They started pulling their money back, and the stock prices collapsed.

Good point about California oil prices and not building any power plant JayNorth.

Like the y2k problem, the media got them both wrong, missed it, or covered it up.

BRAVO!!!

We cannot allow the mainstream liberal media to continue to be a special interest group for the democrat party.

It's bad enough the teachers union is. It is ugly enough that the federal employees union is.

And, if advertisers think they can get by with having a major portion of their consumer base ridiculed and demeaned by the very media they are paying top dollars to advertise their products, then we can no longer remain silent.

Tell the advertisers that republicans & conservatives have had it, were mad as hell, and we ain't goin' to buy it anymore.

Doing the best we can. It's worked before, it can work again.

The risks are too great if we do nothing. My note looks lie this and Freepers feel free to use it as well.

"Your continued sponsorship of ABC network television is troubling in the light of recent revelations that ABC News is guilty of presenting a biased picture against our President Bush. As loyal consumers of many P and G products we ask your consideration in renegotiating the business you do with ABC and its parent company. Please make it know to them that one sided opinions against the Republican party and this President will not be tolerated in a free society. We cannot and will not abide by a biased and highly prejudicial antagonism against this President. Best regards,"

Yikes! That's a bit different then the ones I sent out already: "MSNBC is withholding important information from the American voters. It is the May 6, 2001 "Meet the Press" tape in which Russert played the damning 1971 comments made by Kerry regarding his own criminal actions in Viet Nam. I am also concerned that MSNBC or FOX is not reporting on Kerry's own Watergate in 1972. We impeached Nixon for actions such as Kerry's - Why would the American voter want to vote for a candidate who has already committed offenses that would get an American president impeached?"

Your letter is excellent! I guess you are just more "aggressive" and that is fine.

These corporations should get a variety of styles...they can't be all as angry as yours or as restrained as mine (and believe me I restrained myself!).
