Today, I thought it would be appropriate to have a Dose dedicated to the memory of Spot Fletcher Bush. We , on the Dose, have watched Spotty in her devotion and obedience to her Master and Mistress, and we know that her death will cause great pain for them, and for the entire family.
Spot was a 15 year old English Springer Spaniel, daughter of President and Mrs. Bush 41’s dog, Millie. She was born in the White House, and spent her last days there as well, having suffered several strokes in her last days. It was on the recommendation of their veterinarian that the Bushes agreed to have her put to sleep.
She was always right at home in the “People‘s House,“ whether it be in the Oval Office, or out on the lawn, enjoyed running free on the ranch, and even enjoyed her trips to Camp David. We will miss her.

This wasn't only a beloved pet,a member of the family,a sad loss,but a dog born in the White House to a mother,Millie, made famous by our First Lady,Barbara Bush.I love the puppy picture with GHWBush.
The picture that gets me is the one in the pickup ,sitting on W's lap.

I looked at a couple of the threads yesterday, saw the wonderful pics of the First Family and their much loved doggies. I snuggled my furbaby and got all teary-eyed. I should know better than to start down that path again, but here I am.
RIP Spot. You loved and were much loved in return.
