"BCE" and "CE" ("Before/Common Era") are the modern secularists' latest attempt to eradicate all references to Christ, and make everything generic and PC.

These acronyms have really caught on in the academic world. But to me, any writer who uses them instantly curtails his credibility—betraying his secular bias.

No, it's done so that jews muslims and christians can all use the same calender. It's only 2004 in the Christian callender, it's a different year for the jews and still another year in the muslim calender. A researcher can cite a jewish, or muslim, or christian, or hindi, etc source without first having to research to find out which calender he's using.
