I can't remember the source, but I seem to remember reading a study that showed as your socio-economic status decreased, your likelyhood of being significantly overweight increased.

As for these two women, I think it's more weird how much the daughter looks like her mom; it's like looking at her much younger twin.

It's always amazed me how many career welfare people are 'fat'.

And it's always amazed me that when the hand-wringing starts about the "epidemic" of obesity 8 out of 10 times they show lower middle class white males (truck driver, assistant manager at TireMart, the key-grinder at ACE hardware), when 8 out of 10 times the real examples can be found in public assistance minority females.

Ah yes, America! The only place on earth where the poor are fat.

Maybe it's because career welfare people are 'lazy'.

Of course cheap food is usually fattening...
