I would seriously encourage you to check into satelite. Whether you go DishNetwork, or someone else; I think you'll find it hard to go back to cable.
For example, the picture is PERFECT (no ghosts - ever). The number of channels you'll get is truly a bargain, plus you can also get your local stations as well.
Rates are competitive. You can buy the units at WalMart, and have yourself set up in just a few hours; or you can order it online and have a professional install it for free.
I'm cable-free and have been for 7 years. Ain't no way I'm going back. I have cable in my house for my PC, and that is it.

I agree. We've been enjoying Direct-TV for more than a year though I think their pricing of ed channels is excessive. I like Discovery channels mostly most of the time . . . along with Fox and SciFi.
However, I do suspect that when the Volcanic ash stuff gets going in the atmosphere as it will . . . sooner than I'd like, for sure . . . then cable may be the only viable option before even that infrastructure breaks down.
Of course, when Christians will be delivered from all such travails may be another potential factor in the equations.

But what about the ads? Do you get ads on each channel, like with a digital cable box? You know, that ad that sits in the corner of the screen when you change the channel. Do you know what I'm referring to?
