I have a feeling that the gay marriage vote in Congress will have shades of 1994 in it. When the AWB passed, Bill Clinton's Dems lost both houses of Congress and could attribute the losses of about 20 seats to it. I don't just think this will affect the Presidential race, but Congressional races as well. God help the rural/suburban Southern Democrat who votes "nay".
