Message From A Marine About Kerry
Bush Country.org ^ | 2-25-04 | Major Richard G. ("Rick") Erickson

Posted on 02/25/2004 5:52:39 AM PST by FlyLow

On the cover of The New Soldier by John Kerry and Vietnam Veterans Against The War, hippies clad in a mismatch of military uniforms are pictured mocking the legendary image of Marines raising the American flag atop Mount Suribachi in the 1945 battle for Iwo Jima.

The New Soldier never made it on the reading list at our military academies. In the cover photo that ridicules the Marine Corps Memorial, one of Kerry's cronies is tugging on our flag, which is hung upside down as the ultimate symbol of sedition and treachery to all veterans who rallied behind our flag in battle.

Of all the reasons why John F. Kerry will not become President of the United States, the biggest reason has to be that, once he returned home from Vietnam, he betrayed his fellow servicemen who remained at war. Kerry not only allied with the likes of Hanoi Jane Fonda, but, before the United States Senate in 1971, Kerry went as far as to belittle the bravery of embattled troops by generalizing their every action in Vietnam as an atrocity.

No one questioned General George S. Patton, III, when he accused Kerry of treason in giving aid and comfort to the enemy, especially when it was revealed that North Vietnam incorporated Kerry's exploits into its communist propaganda machine. As far as U.S. Marines are concerned, we ought to ensure that Kerry is forever banished from the White House for dishonoring our Memorial on the cover of The New Soldier. Major Richard G. ("Rick") Erickson

Some "hero" Kerry turned out to be , aye?
I'm not afraid to question his patriotism. I'd have no problem doing it at all.
I'd like to see his military records, too. Other military personal would be more than disgusted.

As a Sailor, I agree. But I also recognize that there are a lot more little people in our country now, living in big cities and holding out their hands to the Democrats they elect. It will be a fight to get the truth out. But try we must!

Have I shared this with you?

Kerry

I thank you for your service,
Way back in Viet Nam.
But that is no free ticket,
To let you pull this scam.
You spit upon our nation,
Betrayed our young brave men.
You called them baby killers,
It’s not true now, nor then.
You sir are just low life scum,
You prey upon rich chicks.
I hope Teresa sees the light,
And dumps your bag of tricks.
I’ll vote for Bush this coming fall,
And pray that you don’t win.
For if you win, we all will lose,
Our freedom will cave in.

Laura Ingraham has been playing audio clips from John Kerry's testimony when he returned from 'Nam. It is/was absolutely horrid and nauseating!
He makes wild claims that he cannot back up with fact about imaginary atrocities committed by our troops. Kerry likens our troops to "Genghis Khan", he called them "monsters" roaming the Vietnam countryside dismembering citizens and cutting off their heads.
When pressed if he ever saw this personally or knew of anyone who saw this he said, no. His seditious words were stated for effect only.
What a puke!

"The Marines say they never leave even their dead. These men have left all the casualties and retreated behind a pious shield of public rectitude. They have left the real stuff of their reputations bleaching them in the sun in this country"

-John Kerry

Hmmm, does anyone think that John Kerry could be an effective commander of our armed forces?

I'm an Army guy,but if I ever heard someone say that about the Marines I'd take a swing at him.

I hope RUSH and Hannity get ahold of those clips. I'd like to hear them played 24/7.
Bush is too positive to use them, so it becomes our job to get them out.
Maybe if we start requesting them in the media we can get them out on TV.
Something like those clips shouldn't be hidden from the voters. He's running for the presidency, and people need to know what they're voting for. They trump anything the Democrats could find in the Bush dental records!

Beyond the content of what he says, his haughty intellectual fake British accent will drive people NUTS!!! I'm from his home State and I have never heard anyone but a pretending elite speak in the accent that Kerry used. Kerry is no friend of the common man! Get those tapes out before the people and Kerry is TOAST!!! Those tapes are the equivalent to the Dean primal scream after Iowa. No black person, hearing that haughty uppity condescending voice could begin to relate to such a person.

Disgusting!! YES!!! Get those tapes out!!! Get them before ALL the people!!

We don't have to waste time and energy questioning his "patriotism".

His own words and attitudes will suffice.

As far as I'm concerned, Kerry gave the finger to every Marine, past, present and future. I hope to return the salute one day.

My youngest brother was an Air Force C-130 pilot who left the Air Force in 1998 at the rank of Major. He then began flying C-130s in the California Air National Guard. He's also been a pilot for Southwest Airlines for the past 5+ years. Anyway, he flew in the first Gulf War and last Oct. his Guard Unit was activated to go to Iraq, which he had wanted to do since the onset of the war. Like most true Military personnel, my brother not only respects, but also reveres President Bush."HANOI"JOHN KERRY BE DAMNED!! I would like to share with all you GREAT FRIENDS at FreeRepublic.com what my brother wrote in a card he sent to my parents about his recent tour in Iraq. Hope you all enjoy it....

"THERE I WAS, SITTING ON THE RAMP AT A NOT-SO-FRIENDLY AIR BASE IN NORTHERN IRAQ. WE'VE JUST DEFIED ODDS AND BROUGHT OUR HERK IN FOR A BLACKED OUT LANDING AND DIDN'T SEE A SINGLE TRACER FIRED. THE ENGINE-RUNNING OFFLOAD GOES SMOOTHLY. WE'RE READY TO GO NOW. NVGs IN PLACE, FLAK JACKETS ON, 9MM BARETTA READY AND CHAMBERED, CAJONES IN CHECK. I RELEASE THE BRAKES OF THE ANXIOUS MACHINE AND SLOWLY ACCELERATE DOWN THE RUNWAY. REFUSAL SPEED COMES QUICKLY AND I LIFT THE PIG INTO THE AIR, LEVELING AT 10 FEET, AND BRING THE GEAR AND FLAPS UP. NOT A STANDARD PROCEDURE, BUT THIS IS COMBAT AND I NEED SPEED, NOT ALTITUDE. NOW, AT 100 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND, I YANK INTO A 60 DEGREE LEFT BANKING TURN TO AVOID A KNOWN AREA OF BAD GUYS WHO WOULD LOVE TO PUT AN SA-7 INTO MY HERK. NOT TODAY AHKMED!! 250 KNOTS NOW, I PULL THE WHISPER PIG UP, CLIMBING RAPIDLY TO ESCAPE THE LETHAL RANGE OF SMALL ARMS FIRE. I CAN SMILE NOW AND RELAX A LITTLE. I'M ON THE WINNING TEAM AND I HAVE A NICE SOUVENIR FOR MY POP. WHEN HE FINALLY HAS A NICE SHIT, HE NOW HAS SOMETHING TO WIPE HIS ASS WITH!!

THERE'S NO LEVEL LIKE LOW LEVEL

MOM & DAD, HOPE ALL IS WELL AND HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYING LIFE. DON'T LOSE CONFIDENCE IN OUR PRESIDENT, OUR CAUSE, OR OUR RESOLVE. REMEMBER, IT'S NOT A WAR AGAINST IRAQ, IT'S A WAR AGAINST TERRORISM!!"

In the comment to my dad about "something to wipe his ass with", my brother is referring to an Iraqi 5 Dinar note with Saddam's impression he sent with the card to my parents.

Here are some of John Kerry's own words, his testimony before the Senate:

[said as an elite in a disgustingly haughty, uppity tone]

"They told the stories at times they had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam in addition to the normal ravage of war, and the normal and very particular ravaging which is done by the applied bombing power of this country."

When pressed to identify anyone who would testify to saying or observing such atrocities Kerry couldn't produce a name. It was all fiction!!
SLIME!!!

Kerry was a founding member of Vietnam Veterans Against The War. According to B.G. Burkett's "Stolen Valor", Al Hubbard, the Exec. Secretary of the VVAW, was caught lying about his service- He claimed he was a Captain, when he was a Sergeant. According the the DoD, Hubbard was a flight Engineer aboard C-123 cargo aircraft, and NEVER SERVED in Vietnam. Hubbard lied to the VA, and claimed a benefit of $163 per month! He was never wounded.

Another VVAW member, Michael Harbert, claimed that he had flown combat missions over the Red River. In reality, he had been assigned to the 964th Airborne Early Warning & Control Squadron, at McClellan AFB, in California.

These are the kind of people that John F. Kerry associated with. I still say that if Kerry, as a Commissioned Ofiicer, knew of atrocities in Vietnam, he had a DUTY to report them. In addition, I think it was pretty self-serving of him to accept an early out and leave 4 months into his tour, essentially abandoning his crew.

It's ironic, also, that Kerry is supported on one hand by a former shipmate whom he saved from drowning, while on the other hand, he's supported by the Senior Senator from Massachusetts, who, as we all know, ALLOWED someone to drown in order to further his own politial career.

I have to be clear here- I've never served a day in the military- Eyesight even after 2 operations excluded me. However, I have nothing but respect and admiration for those in this country who have chosen to serve, both in peacetime and wartime.

Excellent and helpful information on the character of those involved in the 1970 Kerry world. Thanks
I still say that if Kerry, as a Commissioned Officer, knew of atrocities in Vietnam, he had a DUTY to report them.
And that'd be an excellent question for Kerry, who claimed to be privvy to the crimes and came off as if he were an eyewitness to these everyday atrocities by our "monsters."
I sure hope some reporter asks him about it................ha! Not going to happen!

By the accounts I have seen, Kerry leaves his boat against regulations, and goes inside/behind a hootch to administer the coup de grace to a wounded VC. He gets a Silver Star. Now, in Iraq, we have a guy who brandishes a weapon at a prisoner, actually saving lives in the process, and he gets drummed out. Go figure.

I served has a tank commander on an M48A3 tank on the DMZ in Vietnam. I killed enemy soldiers with the cupola mounted Browning M2 50 caliber machine gun that it was equipped with. My gunner killed enemy soldiers with 90 mm canister rounds from the main gun. I don't care what John Kerry says or implied at the Winter Soldier hearings, I am not a war criminal, nor was my gunner. When I later transferred to a Mech infantry outfit, I directed H&I mortar and artillery fire on suspected enemy routes of movement. I am not a war criminal for having done that either.

I will never vote for a man who has so calumnied his comrades in arms, seemingly for political gain.
