From the demograhics that see Hollywood Films anyways are usually under 30 so the rest of us over 30 wait for DVD's or if we have cable will wait for it to come on Cable...
Personally I like watching Turner Movie Classics: I love the movies like
1. Mildred Pearce with Joan Crawford
2.Of Course everyone;s Holiday Favorite "it's a Wonderful Life"
3.This Property is Condemed with Natalie Wood and Robert Redford Natalie Wood is one of my favorite Actresses.
Hollywood sucks now with all there Action Packed Special Affect movies...
Maybe Mel-Gibson will now makes "The War between Gog and Magog" many I think would go see that film or anything that has to do with "End Times Prophecy?

In what way is Katzenberg a deviant? Even though, in the minds of most, the word 'deviant' implies sexual immorality, its literal definition provides a larger net.

I feel pretty sure that Mr. Gibson weighed the cost and took all of that into consideration before he began. I don't think he cares if it hurts his career.

"I do not understand the reaction from these non-religious folks. If they are not practising Jews, then how are they Jews? Blood does not make one a child of God. It is what is inside. And that is the message of Jesus. That is why He was put to death. Observing a bunch of religious laws and practises does not put you in God's graces. These people could use with the prayers of many believers."
When I read the article, my first feeling was that if they could do a real modern-day crucifixion of Mel Gibson, they would. He is garnering success from everything they don't beleive in and they are flummoxed..
I know that sounds harsh, but the rhetoric coming from Hollywood is just abominable.

This is the most laughable prognosticating since Terry McAuliffe predicted a Democrat sweep in the mid-term elections.
The film recouped its cost on the first day it was open in theaters! And this is supposed to harm Gibson's career? It's not only not going to harm his career, it's going to launch him into the stratosphere of the most elite film directors and producers of all time.
This film could very well be his transition from a lunkhead action movie actor to a rarified filmmaker mentioned in the same breath with Spielberg, Scorsese, Kubrick, and Coppola.
Man, how sour are the grapes at the New York Times?

Mr. Medavoy said. "It makes me a little squeamish. What makes me squeamish about religion in general is that people think they have the answer: `I think my God is the right God.' How do you argue against that?" Once in a while, one of these bozos accidentally lets the truth slip out. That is, indeed, exactly what these leftists hate about religion -- the idea that there is such a thing as absolute truth. If you are into 'spirituality' without particularly claiming that your beliefs are right, they are fine with that. But to dogmatically declare, "X is true" is an unspoken rebuke to all those who believe "not-X is true". It blows moral relativism out of the water. Moral relativism is what these people have founded their whole lives on, and they're scared of anything that could undermine it.

Many of the "Hollywood Elite" are flaming Homosexuals that is why they worship Satan and Money otherwise they would have to give up there sinful lifestyles....Beleive me when they die, they are at the bottom of the list...No Oscar Parties, No Designer Cars, Clothes etc.... I am sure many of them will choose death rather than giving up there human pleasures...

Well, since you providing unsolicited HELP to the poor ignorant thick skulled Neanderthals at FR, perhaps you could enlighten us on the dangers to health of drinking coffee.

The thing is, Gibson has been on the Hollyweird Sh!T list for some time now. He owns his own production company. He can make his own movies. The only thing he needs outside assistance on is distribution. With the runaway success of the Passion, he won't have any trouble at all geting distribution companies to line up and beg for their chance. What the author really menas to say, is the he wishes that Gibson's career would be hurt. Mel Gibson could care less what the rest of Hollyweird thinks of him. He's a one-man production company, and has proven to be very good at it. Remember all the flak that 'The Patriot' got when it was released.

Didn't have to get past the first line to get to that epitome of wussie lib-speak, "uncomfortable."
The only sin in the world of liberals is to make liberals feel "uncomfortable," usually in the context of one's asserting a strongly held moral belief.
E.g., I shouldn't talk about how pre-born children can feel pain, because it makes pro-choicers "feel uncomfortable." BAD!

He's not in the same class as Spielberg, Scorsese, Kubrick, and Coppola, I'd say more with Clint Eastwood.
An actor who is also a respected director/producer.

(Although I never considered him a lunkhead action movie actor, as I appreciated his work in The Year Of Living Dangerously early in his career.)

As there are Christians who find the film too focused on the violence, or anti-semitic, or not faithful to the Gospels, etc..............
And they have been condemned here for being hopelessly liberal in all they do in life. FR is always tough on these guys. I don't know where the truth lies but some of these Christian critics of PASSION must have no axe to grind and are coming from a good place, even a conservative one.

In Hollywood, one thing speaks louder than anything else -- success. $20 million on the first day, and on a Wednesday, no less. Enough said.
