There seems to be quite a bit of confusion as to what exactly is in this amendment. I hope we find out shortly.
Anyway, here is a listing of the vote on the amendment and note Kerry and Edwards failed to vote.

Who gets to decide what is an adequate gunlock? Hey, just make the criteria too difficult to meet and, VIOLA!, no more handgun sales!
Seems like a warmup to the AW Ban extension...
BTW, I'm from PA; Santorum is toast. You may not be up for reelection for 2 years, but I'll remember. Meanwhile Specter voted against it! Darn, just when I was going to write in Toomey for the primary! Keep it up, Arlen, and you 'll have my vote instead.

Its usually up immediately.. click on the "ammendments" link on the bill summary page.. you will be able to read the text of OTHER ammendments that are being considered.. but NOT this one.... there is something very funny going on here.. and we need to know what this 2620 is all about.. IF its just about the "SALE" of the gun, I can hold my nose and support it.. if it is about keeping a lock on YOUR guns than we must defeat it and shame on any Republican who voted for it....

we got the vote part.. just not the TEXT of the AMMENDMENT.... this could be cleared up if the Senate or even a staff member would fax me a copy of the TEXT I could post it for Ya'all... but it seems that Mr. Nelson (D-FL) staff does not know anything about THIS ammendment.. CALL YOUR senator and ask them to tell you what the TEXT of this ammendment is...

The text of S.AMDT. 2620 has not yet been received from GPO
Bills are generally sent to the Library of Congress from the Government Printing Office a day or two after they are introduced on the floor of the House or Senate. Delays can occur when there are a large number of bills to prepare or when a very large bill has to be printed

We are still waiting on the actual and complete text of Boxer's trigger-lock amendment. The devil is in the details, particulary when dealing with statists of her ilk.
