Kerry wouldn't support the death penalty for the killer of a five year old because we must be a "civil" nation.

I tuned in late, but must say it's a pretty good debate. Ron Brownstein is a lethal questioner! If this is the best Kerry can do, I say "Bring it On"!

My daughter likes to watch these debates. I had to change the channel when that subject came up. What a sorry pass to come to.

Oops...misread that...I mistakenly thought it was Kerry you were writing about. More than likely he won't vote for it either.

Debate:
Edwards: There are two Americas and Bush is a liar.
Kerry: I went to Viet Nam and Bush is a liar.
Repeat until everyone is asleep.

I agree...this debate has some depth.

Actually Edwards says he supports parts of DOMA and other parts he doesn't support
Now they are discussing captial punishment .. Kerry is against it .. Edwards is for it and brings up the truck draging in Texas

As much as I despise CNN, they're not doing a bad job. I agree

But Edwards did say he would not have voted for the DOMA.

Kookcinich wants the debate to be between the difference among the Dimm candidates. Good point.

Re:
I'm watching an old Gregory Peck movie I recorded earlier. Hate to bust your bubble, but Greg Peck, as great an actor as he was, would be right there holding John eFing Kerry's hand & egging him own to hate W.
Remember the Hate Ad he did against Bork!

Had my daughter watch some of tonight's debate to get feedback.
Edwards she said "He doesn't look sure of himself" (right on)
Kerry she observed often does not answer the question.
Case in point that had us all three (including husband) ticked, was the question about the nation being deeply divided, and if Kerry becomes president the republicans can be expected to constantly knock him, and if George Bush remains, the dems will continue to try and tarnish his name. Kerry proceeds to say Bush is divisive (hurt my heart when the audience gave huge applause to this), then went on to bash Bush, and ended that he, Kerry, had a positive message, when the fact is he had just failed to say one positive thing, and he certainly said nothing that indicated he appreciated republicans at all. Not one thing.
