Kerry is now talking about his experience as a prosecutor, explaining why he is against the death penalty.

Larry King to Edwards: "Do you agree with capital punishment"? Edwards: "Yes."

I like this format, where everyone is sitting at a table. (I really dislike the others format, when each candidate is standing behind a podium.)

Despite Edwards' lack of international experience, I still think GW is lucky the nominee will be Kerry and not Edwards. Edwards is getting a lot of applause.

Sharpton: "I will travel all over this country to make Al Sharpton president."

We -hope- Kerry will be the nominee. That's why I'm hopping around other Kerry-bashing threads saying "Hold it till after Kerry wins the nomination, folks..."

Sharpton: "Let's make a constitutional amendment against presidents that lie." Huge applause, but the first president that came to my mind on that line was: Clinton.

I just dont get John Kerry

He's against terrorism, but he opposes the war on terror

He's against gay marriage, but he's always been against any law to prevent it.

He's against abortion, but he fervently supports having the government fund abortions.

can you make any sense of it?

Thanks for this thread. I was just going to turn the Bashbushbate (or debate if you will) off as I feared my head was going to explode.

Someone on tv earlier tonight mentioned that Nader pointed out that out of 50 states, really only 10 states are "in play" in this election. I really think Edwards would have a better shot than Kerry in some of those 10 states.

Just heard a clip of edwards saying:

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD HAVE TO RECOGNIZE SAME SEX MARRIAGE EVEN IF A STATE DOES NOT.

CHA CHING to the homosexual lobby.

I think GW and the GOP will be able to paint Kerry as someone who flip-flops on issues, and Kerry will lose because of that. It is harder to paint Edwards that way. Edwards will actually answer YES or NO to a questions. Kerry never does.
