Yeah, but if Edwards was the nominee, I do think he would get the Deaniac vote and other votes that Kerry will not get.

Kerry's Botox is wearing off. Will he get another round of injections? What the HELL is that on the Breck Girl's upper lip?! The zit from hell, or something worse???

I see the germ of a new "debate" format. Put the opponents to the grill of an unknown tag-team of confrontational "aksers" of substantive questions.

Kerry does look like he spent quite a bit of time in a salon tonight, getting a haircut, etc, before this debate.

Kerry: "I'm going to issue an executive order that prohibits anyone from going into government into lobbying for 5 years." Didn't Clintoon do the same thing....................?

Re your post #43 - I hope so, because that other format stinks. It's just a bunch of sound bites. Here in this format there is more of a chance that the candidates may goof, but also more of a chance they may actually say something of interest.

"Make a vote for ANY democrat a vote for kerry."
Oh, I don't think that's the right way to go about it. We want Kerry to win it, and then we can point out the fact that by his voting record, Kerry is actually MORE liberal than Edwards, MORE liberal than Gephardt, MORE liberal than Kucinich (yes, believe it or not, he's more liberal than Kucinich), and he is living proof that it actually is possible to be even more liberal than Ted Kennedy.
We need to see him win the nomination, and then we need to point out that he is -worse- than any other Democrat, that even Dean was reasonable compared to this guy.

The debate really is one sided, too much conservative media on the panel.

I just dont get John Kerry,... He's against terrorism, but he opposes the war on terror... He's against gay marriage, but he's always been against any law to prevent it... He's against abortion, but he fervently supports having the government fund abortions... can you make any sense of it?In politico jargon this is referred to as Clintonizing one's position on the issues.

Re your post #25 - Well, I don't know - elections can surprise. But, I would be VERY surprised if Kerry won. With Edwards, I think it is less of a surprise. Edwards is a really good candidate in many ways. Very comfortable in his skin, very smooth, and not much of a record to criticize.

Edwards has had that thing on his lip for a long time. The studio lights are really making it glow tonight.
