Is a movement about its leader or the person who put it together?

That question is fueling a behind-the-scenes struggle between Howard Dean and his former campaign manager, Joe Trippi, as they jockey for control of the campaign's bounty of grass-roots supporters and search for personal direction after the former Vermont governor's failed bid for the presidency.

Dean will fade back into the woodwork and continue in his medical profession. He is yet another also ran politician that could say to his grandchildren, "I ran for president of the United States"

Buh Bye Deano. Sorry to see you go.... so quick

"Last weekend, Trippi gathered about 40 of his supporters at his farm, where they ate breakfast, worked together to clear brush downed by Hurricane Isabel last fall, and debated the outlines of what would become the Cummings Creek Compact."

Sounds like a violation of the child labor laws to me.

Just what does Glen Johnson do for a living anyway?

Dean was in the way of the agenda of the NewYorkTimes and Boston Globe.
They hate voters anyway - and want their Lewis-Margaret (SJC Chief Justice born in Africa now married to NYTime's Anthony Lewis)
to continue decide all legal matters involving Massachusetts (as is done now).

Great, another moveon.org is born. Another revenue source for Trippi and his followers. Perhaps they will open their own amusement park where the faithful can gather and reaffirm their core beliefs.

At least this gives the media another "source". /s

"Dean will fade back into the woodwork and continue in his medical profession"

Dean hasn't practiced medicine in well over ten years. It would take him probably 12 months, or more, working under supersion to requalify in a specialty.

He'll never practice hands-on medicine again.

Are Deanies so retarded that they don't see that their Great White Hope has NO APPEAL outside anti-war rallies?

Ok, he will sit on his porch and lament over what could have been. As a politician he is dead. Maybe he is eyeing the position of surgeon general once Kerry becomes president.

hehe... ain't going to happen.
