Washington, D.C. - Sen. Tom Harkin called Thursday for U.S. peacekeeping forces to be dispatched to Haiti, saying Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide was elected with stronger voter support than President Bush.

"He's got more support there than Bush got in this country," said the Iowa Democrat in a conference call with Iowa reporters. "He's a legitimate, democratically elected president."

The higher one scores on this Liberal Report Card, the more evil one is.

Harkin is a Commie and was Kerry's "control" in Central America, as Kennedy was his "control" in Nam.

Yes, but - but - but, the "Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001" did not put Bush in power, as he had Aristide, by use of US diplomatic and military power.

The present political situation in Haiti was a poorly structured experiment, which predictably went badly.

And remember, this is the guy who endorsed Dean in his home state and Dean was slaughtered.

Not just that, he was the guy who stood on stage clapping and swaying to Dean's "I Have a Scream" speech!

Harkin said Haitians are rioting because they have no food, health care or essentials of life, and rebels are feeding off that unrest. "I just think we have a moral obligation to step in," Harkin said.

Listen, Dung Heap, American tax payers are sick to death of pulling your party's irons out of the fire. Bill Clinton created the mess in Haiti, so let him pay some of that l0 million in book revenues to the Haitian people. They should sue him for malpractice while in office. He struck a deal with the voodoo priests to put Aristides in power, so let the voodoo gods take care of the people. Keep your lousey hands out of my pocketbook.

Uhhh, say, isn't Harkin the same creep with Kerry shaking hands with that Commie Butcher Ortega in Nicaragua before Roanld Reagan flushed out those commie Sandinistas?

Hey, Harkin, quick - how many fingers am I holding up?
(Hint, its more than none and less that two.)

Harkin should learn to keep his mouth closed. What an ignoramus.

Added Harkin: "Bush did not win the popular election in this country. He won because he got one more vote in the Supreme Court of the United States in a case that never should have been decided by the Supreme Court.

Someone refresh my memory here. I thought the USSC vote was 6 - 3.

I'm saying Aristide got a higher percentage of the vote in Haiti than Bush got in this country."

Saddam got 99.9 percent of the vote in Iraq. I guess that made his regime legitmate, too.

What an ass.

We have a moral obligation to go to Haiti but no moral obligation to be in Iraq? Harkin's an ass.

The vote on the motion that Gore and the Fl Supreme Court forced or asked for was 7-2. The vote of 5-4 was on a motion by a liberal Supreme to recount the whole State. This was not asked for by Gore and was defeated on Lib Cons lines. This Harkin a--hole is like the rest of these losers, he has told this lie so long that he believes it.

LOL...I'm not livid. Harkin's stupid. Every major publicaton and watchdog group in the US went to Florida and recounted those ballots. Over a year later, they were still publishing their findings: Bush had more votes than Gore. Gore lost. The left really needs to get over it.

Someone should probably tell Harkin (he's obviously too senile to remember) that Aristide was installed by an American president who had garnered 43% of the popular vote.

Ok the gloves come off! Harkin is a traitor to America or making such venemous comments. Harkin should go live in Haiti if he thinks it's so great there.

By the same measure Bill Clinton is in the same category.
