If they disagree over the facts, what is their response to John Kerry telling Tim Russert in 2001 that his claims of genocide were the words of "an angry young man" (i.e. A LIE!).

To lie before Congress and the media during wartime to demoralize the troops and provide aid and comfort to the enemy is treason.

If John Kerry was just trying to cover up the attrocities that he confessed to in 1971, then he is an unindicted war criminal.

Either way he is unfit for the presidency.

Benedict Arnold was a war hero for both sides. Maybe some liberals have a tough time comprehending this.

The left needs to understand who John FTA Kerry was and is. We don't need him anywhere near the White House.

New York liberals aren't the only ignorant liberals in the country. I'm always dumbfounded by the ignorance of these people who all but brag about getting news only from the networks, and who couldn't be paid to pick up a history book.

These days, even liberals with fair educations will argue that critical thinking is irrelevant! That 'facts' don't exist! The Left has done a complete number on them and they are content in their ignorance.

As for the idiots who were harassing you, they live in a sheltered little world where everyone "thinks" - or does what passes for thought - as they do. They can't bear to face the facts when they contradict their own silly ideas.

This is true of liberals and just as true of the Bushbots on FR. The police state in this nation has been growing through Democratic and Republican administrations alike. I remember Waco, Elian but I also remember Jose Padilla and the Patriot Act. I am old enough to remember Nixon's "preventive detention" and FDR's Japanese-American concentration camps.

The parties are not as different as you think. They use different boogey men but they have the same goal-they want to end your personal freedom for their benefit.

I keep hearing these people telling me that we are in a "police state" and yet everyday there they are, on the street, in the paper, on the tube. Evidently George Bush just isn't very good at running a police state.

I think you're right. When I was counterprotesting an anti-Bush crowd during the president's visit to Pittsburgh a few months back, it was the 60-something men who would get in my face and scream irrationalities at me, spittle flying everywhere. I had to keep telling the guy to stop spitting on me and, much to my surprise, he apologized - before resuming his rant and expectoration. But these left wing and union guys did not treat the male GWB supporters as rudely.

I also had two young men try to taunt me, asking "What, you would rather vote for Bush"...which I promptly answered "Damn Right!" What amazes me is when they disagree with my message, they have to be so nasty about it.

Reminds me of something that happened on an anti-appeasenik Freep here in Freeport, back in October. The leader of the group here was holding a presentation on the history of the UN and since this same woman had called the UN humanity's "best hope" three times in print in the last year, you know where it was going. I brought a sign that says "Shame On You" (which I bring to all their meetings) and a homemade version of the Protestwarrior "UN-American" sign. Most of the twits pretended to ignore me, but one pair of old ladies stopped and looked at the sign. One of them said something along the lines of "Muriel, do you know why we would be ashamed to go hear a presentation on the UN?" This was delivered in very broad, theatrical sarcasm.
Her companion responded, "No Betty, I have no idea. It seems like a very silly thing to say" or something to that effect. Then they giggled and walked around the church to get to the presentation, doing their best to ignore my gutbusting laughter. I couldn't have held it in and said something nasty if I'd wanted to! Not only was it strongly reminiscent of teasing I received from teams of snotty little girls in my early elementary years, they looked and sounded like a cross between the old biddies in Arsenic and Old Lace and the female chicken bit players in Foghorn Leghorn cartoons. I nearly died laughing, and then, I nearly died laughing again later in the evening when it suddenly occurred to me that they thought they were going to hurt my feelings! Mel Brooks never wrote anything funnier!

You really must be careful. They do get physical sometimes, in the process of telling you how stupid you are.

Had one of them get in my face, like three inches away, the last time I freeped the local commies. This wonderful, peaceful guy apparently couldn't tell me he hated me from ten or two feet away. I finally had to use my parade-ground voice to get him to back off; I think my late Father-in-law (a Marine drill sergeant) would have been proud.
