When have you ever heard President George W. Bush say that God was on America's side? I have often said that he is trying to do God's work, or that advancing freedom is good because it makes God's gift of freedom available to more people. But I have yet to hear him say that God is definitely on our side.

And, just to keep things straight; which god are we talking about anyway - zues, mohammed, budha, mars? For us atheists it doesn't really matter.

I know that you get a thrill out of not capitalizing "God", but to not capitalize proper names is just poor grammar.

Seems to me that if you are going to lead a nation into war you better know that it is God's will and not just be hoping that if you pray hard enough God will be on your side.
