"This bill was NOT about guns; it was about trial lawyers."

And who else do you think will be leading the pack to kill our 2nd Amendment rights?

With Kerry's and Edwards' help, the Senate voted 52-47 to renew the assault weapons ban, which outlaws 18 military-style rifles that law enforcement officials say are a favorite with gangs and criminals

McPaper lies again, or at least selectively reports the truth. The AWB bans a whole lot more than 18 types of rifles, just by features rather than by name, and it also bans the normal capcity magazines that many guns, handguns as well as long guns, were designed to use.

"are you seeing somthing between the lines?"

factor in that both Kerry and Edwards cut short campaigning to 'be there' for this vote. Add in that the gun zombies already sent out the press releases praising the bills passing, before it went for final vote. So the dims had a setup from the start. Planned to stick it to the R's base. But ....

Then it all flamed out 90-8. So what happened? The R's withdrew support for final passage, the dims were left holding the bag. Since the dims couldn't be seen as being the ones responsible they bailed as well.

Craig set this play in motion once the ornaments were added to the original bill.

So it means gun control died with the flame out vote. Everyone appeared to be against extending the ban, which was the whole dim ruse.

All you need to do is watch Duh-asshola.

Of course this is just my opinion.

This is why we need to unify as conservatives and vote straight republican.

??? John "Putz" Warner, (RP-VA) voted in favour of the so-called "assault weapons" ban. And in favour of the "closing" the so-called "gunshow loophole".

I should vote for him why?
