THE PRESIDENT'S 9/11 CASE (Campaign Ad)

March 5, 2004 -- Is it fair for President Bush to use images from Ground Zero in his reelection campaign? Damned right it is.

The more, the merrier.

Just as Rudy Giuliani stood tall for New York City in the hours, days and weeks after 9/11, so did George W. Bush offer calm, reasoned, determined leadership to a nation shaken to its roots by acts of unfathomable barbarism.

America knows better and that's why the Democrats are whining. They don't like "Morning In America."

O'Reilly had a couple of "family members" on last night. They made me sick. They think the OWN that attack, that it somehow belongs to them. Why don't they get it over with and just hire the ACLU and take out copyrights on all 9/11 images. Then nobody can ever use them in a political campaign. Because after all, it wasn't America that was attacked on 9/11, it was those specific families. So none of us have a right to remember 9/11, to look at the images of 9/11, or to talk about 9/11. Ever again.

(Could someone please post pictures of people jumping out of burning buildings. They should be in this thread.)

I suspect they were highly partisan RATS who would have been singing Clinton's praises had he done the same thing. They disgusted me to the point where I changed channels.

I saw the ad. First, it's only ONE image for a split second. Second, it shows the side of the building with the flag flying in front of it. Third, the ad is talking about what we've experienced as a nation in the last 3 years - clearly 9/11 is a big part of that.

The 9/11 image is of the side of the building at the ground level. It shows a building shell with the windows knocked out. While one can clearly tell that it's a 9/11 image, it doesn't show the smoking towers, the piles of carnage, or anything else that could be considered inappropriate in the ad.

One 09/11 family advocate was on John and Ken KFI (640) in Los Angeles this afternoon. He says he has contact with upwards of 6,000 family members. He stated he had 300 eMails unhappy about Bush's minor use of 09/11 scenes. 300 out of 6,000, very impressive... not.

This guy claimed to be a conservative but complained about things that conservatives don't fault the president on. It was pretty obvious this guy was a nut-job. I liked that they let this guy rant on, because he pretty much revealed his own bias.

The democrats have been laying in wait on this topic. They knew Bush would take credit for his composure and policies related to terrorism. They want to cut the legs out from under that, because nothing they can do will neutralize that.

In fact the dems have fought Bush on a lot of the terrorism related moves in the middle-east. If they can't kill this topic, then Bush will mop the floor on it. They know it.

Desparation time is here for the dems.

When I hear that firefighters have complain, I think unions. When I hear that New Yawkers are upset, I am reminded that those f-ups elected the likes of Hillary Clinton to represent them. Nuff said.

Just Wait.

Wait until it comes out.

John Kerry already exploited 9/11 in campaign ads.

Yep.

Ads he showed in IA and NH. He exploited 9/11 and he had no part in it. We all know the leadership George Bush showed during those difficult days. 9/11 is part of his legacy. John Kerry is exploiting it. The copy for his ad read

"John Kerry raised the alarm against terrorism years before 9/11"

When was he raising that alarm? When he was cutting our defense budget?

When he was cutting our intelligence budget?

When exactly was John Kerry warning us against terrorism?

Ratz heads will explode...

Tee-hee!

Like I've written already...what about all those family members that went through Vietnam that Kerry brings up every other sentence? Korea? World War II vets?

I guess Disney's "Pearl Harbor" should have been banned!

Or "Tora, Tora, Tora"!

What those two spineless worms O'reilly had on his show are too stupid to realize - those terrorists weren't attacking their family members, to be attacking those specific people. They didn't care who they were and still don't. They were attacking AMERICANS.

Terrorists don't have mushy feelings for fallen family members. They just as soon kill us all. That's reality.

We know that. The Democrats don't care if it exposes the country to grave danger as long as they can get back in power.

The 'answer' to the ads was well developed and well rehearsed long before the ads came out. There is nothing sincere in their response. Gee....I guess they did their job...the dem/libs are livid....and when they get that way, they are just too funny. They are so predictable it's pathetic.

I'm sure that not all family members of WTC victims are equal, but certainly some of them have taken on the attitude that "this is our family tragedy, the rest of America should BUTT-OUT". Except, of course, when it comes to money. They wanted, and received lots and lots and lots of money. But the money isn't enough for them. They want to OWN the event.

Meanwhile, soldiers die in wars, police die in duty and in neither case do their families demand OWNERSHIP of the issues that lead to those deaths.
