The simple truth as you have so well described it, is that most people want to know how to save their immortal souls, rather than a sanctioning for their sins. Here in Albany, an extremely liberal diocese, many catholics have abandoned the church. Without 'food', their souls have slipped into a limbo of despair. In the 11 years since arriving here, I have switched parishes twice. At the most recent parish, I have had to battle liturgical abuses with the pastor. Once again, I am off in search of a parish where truth is preached from the pulpit and reverence is shown for the Eucharist. Hang in there, things will get worse before they get better ... and history teaches us that it will get better.
I am sending an email to Hardball this morning. He stated on the show that the line, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" " was not in the movie. Jim Caviezel did an interview for World Over Live last night and when questioned about it was stunned. Paraphrasing Mr. Caviezel, he said, I don't know where the Father was during the movie but that is one of the few dialogs we repeated 3 times in the movie. Two of the times was when he was being nailed to the cross and another time on the cross.
Maybe they'll replay it.
Repeat of interview on EWTN

Sick puppies, all of them, in their perverted perceptions.
Perhaps it's "the other realm" working through them, as Mel might put it.
Nothing else to do but pray for them.
Thank you so much for the info! I'll be watching.
