Good bumper sticker Sm.

Democrats call President Bush a warmonger.

I call him a pacifist.

And that group Soros and Teresa fund, Peaceful Tomorrows, were against using any kind of military response against the Bin Laden, Al Qaeda, and the Tabiban.

Not every person who died on 9-11 was a conservative.

``I am outraged at the Republicans for doing this, and I don't like my son being used as a political pawn,'' said Robert McIlvane, who lost his 26-year-old son, Bob, a Merrill Lynch & Co. vice president, in the attacks that killed almost 3,000 people.
`Respectfully Disagree'

McIlvane, of Oreland, Pennsylvania, is a member of the group called ``Sept. 11 Families for Peaceful Tomorrows,'' which held a press conference in Manhattan. The advocacy group Web site says its mission is ``to seek nonviolent responses to terrorism.''

The families' call to remove the ads is ``just something we respectfully disagree with,'' White House spokesman Scott McClellan told reporters in Crawford, Texas, where Bush will meet tonight and tomorrow with Mexican President Vicente Fox.

While I am truly sorry that Mr McIlvane lost his son, that fact doesn't confer a sudden political wisdom upon him.

McIlvane, in my opinion is a left-leaning type willing to give aid and comfort to John Kerry.

McIlvane was joined at the press conference by Rita Lasar, 72, who lost her brother, Abraham Zelmanowitz, 52.

The computer programmer at Blue Cross Blue Shield stayed with his quadriplegic friend on the 27th floor of the Trade Center's north tower and refused to leave when co-workers were evacuating, Lasar said. Both he and his friend, Ed Beyea, died when the tower collapsed.

Zelmanowitz was hailed as a hero and praised by Bush.

``My gut instinct after seeing that television ad was, this is a political party stepping on my brother's grave,'' Lasar said. ``I find it manipulative and hurtful.''

I suspect that if you were a conservative, you would be honored; if you were a liberal, then you would say the things you are, Ms Lasar.

Tell you a secret:

If Bush continues to air his ads with the brief 9/11 images, and the Democrats and their allies in the liberal newsrooms continue to whine like 2-year-olds - - do you know what Bush could do to bury them all while assuring himself easy reelection?

Bush could run a new TV ad showing NOTHING BUT footage of himself at "Ground Zero" giving aid and comfort to the families of the victims, and speaking to America in the aftermath of the terror attacks. Then add some clips of family members praising Bush. Throw in present-day footage of Rudy Giuliani looking straight into the camera and asking America to reelect George W. Bush - - and the race for President is over.

Stone cold OVER, as America sees exactly how intimidated and cowed Bush is by incessant Democrat whining and political gamesmanship. Not one bit.

And it's Bush in a landslide.
Let's see how smart Bush and the GOP are.....

Selfish Survivors

Virginia Wagner - Austin, Texas opinionjournal.com

In the aftermath of 9/11 we were told that it was an event that happened to our nation as a whole. In response, as much as many of us dislike the eastern cabal that wrings millions of dollars out of the "flyover" states, we poured millions into the coffers of the survivors. We heard their personal stories, grieved with them and cried each time a worker found another victim.

It is infuriating to me that now a few of the survivors claim it is their personal tragedy and we aren't a part of it.

In horror, I watched it unfold on my television and literally didn't move for a couple of days as I shared the experience. For them now to say that the money I contributed, the time and the tears are irrelevant, is the most selfish and probably partisan thing I've ever heard.

I want to know exactly how each candidate would proceed given another incident. Next time it could be my hometown rather than NYC. So of course, legitimately, I want to know exactly how each candidate would respond.

Fact is, I have a pretty good idea of how each man would respond. President Bush has shown how he would respond and I believe the terrorists don't want to deal with him again so having him re-elected could buy security for another four years.

Candidate Kerry has also shown how he would respond. He would hem and haw, threaten to drop a bomb then ask the intelligence services why they didn't stop it, fire the top leadership emaciating the service in time of crisis, cut funding for a "failed" service, ask the world court to take over after signing us up and establishing a draft for our armed forces, the members of which would serve in the U.N. peacekeeping force under colonels from Libya and Syria. Or maybe he would just try to arrest the men who perpetrated the act and their accomplices.

Kerry's record asserts that he would not go to war with those who have declared war on us, that he would not continue to build and modernize our defenses, that he would not lead the world in the war on terrorism but would ask the world what he should do as he testified before Congress how the last administration created the problem by going to war with them.

Those who want to go back to ignoring terrorism and hoping it isn't them who are bombed next (figuring if it is they will be dead anyway) will vote for Mr. Kerry. Those who want to get the thugs off the streets and plant the seeds of democracy will vote for Mr. Bush.

The ads underline the crucial difference and is the only relevant issue to discuss; should we have another attack of the scope we had, or greater, it isn't going to matter what our economic policies are or how many jobs we have.

We will be dead or radioactive if not operating under a tyrannical dictator or dancing to the tune of blackmailing terrorists.

<^><^><^><^><^><^><^><^><^><^><^> I'll start eating natural foods when people stop dying from natural causes.

Elect John Kerry in 2004.... (and the terrorists will have won.) <^><^><^><^><^><^><^><^><^><^><^>

In summary, this is what I see at play:

Kerry finds some people associated with the 9-11 tragedy; it is not unreasonable to conclude that he'll find some to say nasty things about the President. We're talking about a state that has Hillary Clinton as a senator.

Kerry sees the '9-11 shield', and wants to exploit it; he presents them to the American public, knowing full well that one must tread carefully when dealing with 9-11 survivors and their families.

This next statement may sound really hard to some, but it's true.

Those killed in the 9-11 attacks have been elevated to a level of 'sainthood'; that is people would have a certain fear of contradicting them. They are all assumed to be 'super patriots', which is fallacious; I would guess that all walks of people were on those flights.

Some of the living don't want people speaking ill of the dead, yet some of the living want to speak ill on behalf of the dead.

............and of course there are those who exploit this situation; and my guess is that they run as Democrat nominee for POTUS.

This advocacy group wants to seek non-violent resonses to terrorism. Such as what...........dropping flowers on them after any such attack?

I guarantee you that "Sept. 11 Families for Peaceful Tommorrows" shares many beliefs with moveon.org.

I would also suggest that Mr McIlvane has his own curious theories as to why 9-11 occurred; I'm guessing something like Western arrogance and exploitation of Muslim countries; imperialism and disenfranchisement of the Palistianian people............you know.

Sorry to wreck your thread with such observations. I'll bet upon interviewing this person, you would find these things are true.

You're not ruining the thread. I really like reading comments. Check this out.

The 'Offended' 911 Group “Peaceful Tomorrows” is funded largely by Teresa Heinz

And with that, I have to leave for the night.
