This is the accompanying editorial for my cartoon, written by IowaPresidentialWatch PAC chairman Roger Hughes:

"America owns 9-11", editorial by Roger Wm. Hughes

The actions of some of the 9-11 family members makes me want my contribution back. We Americans made these individuals millionaires. I recognize that there is no amount of money that can indemnify someone for the loss of a loved one. However, our courts do it every day.

What is disheartening about these families calling Bush’s ads apprehensible is that they think they own this tragedy. They don’t. Neither does the greedy Fireman’s Union.

This tragedy has only one other close equivalency in our history. That similar tragic moment was the unprovoked attack by Japan on Pearl Harbor. The victims of Ground-Zero are like the soldiers and sailors of Pear Harbor. They are both linked to the inevitable fate of other nations and philosophy trying to prevail over others for their own benefit.

The attackers of 9-11 hate us because of who and what we are. To satisfy them we must stone Madonna and all in our society like her and make our women cover themselves from head-to-foot.

George Bush is right to use footage of 9-11 in his campaign commercials. This President is fighting the War on Terrorism, just as Franklin D. Roosevelt used scenes and references to Pearl Harbor in his campaign and rallying of America into World War II.

While I have many differences with the Democratic presumptive nominee for President, Sen. John Kerry, none are more pronounced than his confusing votes and explanations on the two Iraqi wars. He voted against stopping Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Kuwait. He voted for invading Iraq, and then said he made a mistake in giving that authority to President Bush.

Senator John Flip-Flop Kerry cannot be trusted with the security of this nation.

Bush is right. He is the steady leader who took us through the Pearl Harbor of our times. He is the one who told the firefighter that "You may not hear me but soon the whole world will hear you." He is the President who turned those words into reality. And now, the terrorists are facing their greatest nightmare -- a free and independent Iraq.

Bush, we God-fearing Americans recognize that you are taking the fight to the terrorists, and we support you. It may be uncomfortable for others to recognize this fact, but they need to be reminded anyway.

Mr. President, keep up the good work.

True leadership doesn't have to justified. Its self-evident along with character. In contrast, John F. Kerry has a lot of explaining to do over the next eight months about his absence of leadership on the burning issues of the day and on his questionable character. It'll be fun to watch himself tie himself up in knots along the way!

Hi IPWGOP, the following email was sent at 1 this morning, indicating that Attorney Gen'l Ashcroft might be needing miraculous intervention. I ask that you help me notify those who would be most effective getting the word out that his situation is more urgent than has been reported and ongoing prayer is needed. Thanks, E.C.

Subject: Urgent Prayer Request for John Ashcroft
URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

An urgent call has just been received from an Assistant Attorney General at the Department of Justice asking us to spread the word that Attorney General Ashcroft is in desperate need of prayer. They are asking all of us to get the word out to our churches and membership immediately. AG Ashcroft is in critical condition due to something called Gall Stone Pancreatitis. It is an infection of the pancreas due to a gall stone. You cannot live without your pancreas but the infection is so bad now that they cannot operate. Please pray that the infection will end and that the doctors can take care of the problem or just pray for healing. Jim Combey has been sworn in as the acting Attorney General for now.
