Are all Baptists as out of touch with reality as ...

I knew instantly which Baptist denomination this church belonged to! I didn't have to go and look at their website. (But I did anyway). Their denomination is called "American Baptist Churches". Their numbers are dwarfed by the other Baptist denominations - espcially the Southern Baptists.

I have a close friend who is a pastor of a church that once upon a time used to belong to the ABC. But long ago they (and all other Bible-believing churches in that denomination) pulled out after trying in vain for years to reverse the slide into Political Correctness of the majority of churches in this little denomination. (He told me that most of what's left of the denomination is in West Virginia ---- which seriously makes me wonder about that state!) The final straw for the conservative member churches was when the ABC threw their support to the entire Gay Agenda (years before the Episcopalians did).

The usual far-left coalition of liberal (= "rapidly shrinking") church denominations always seek out these guys to join in whatever new coalition du jour they are forming. The really important thing about the ABC is that they falsely add an air of respectability to any new leftist/commie religious ad-hoc group merely by the presence of the word "Baptist" in their name.

Most people reading their local paper can easily recognize "Unitarian / Universalist" as a leftist denomination, but they don't know who the ABC are, and so when they read that "an interdenominational group of churches - EVEN INCLUDING American BAPTISTS - today condemned Pres. Bush for yadda yadda yadda yadda...." - the average joe thinks, "Wow - sounds like a pretty broad-based coalition --- I mean, heck, even those conservatives in the Baptist church have joined it."

Motto: "Not your Grandma's Baptist Church".

I was in Palm Beach as a Bush vote monitor.

While monitoring the recount, I was personally accused of "changing the rules after the election" by Carol Roberts, the P.B. Election Commissioner who said she'd "go to jail for Al Gore."

It was scary.

The precedent of election by Demo-Fraud, thuggery, & election by litigation seems to be Kerry's commitment here! BEWARE!

Kerry, who is personally endorsed by Yasser Arafat, Haiti's Aristide, Iran's Mullahs, Traitor "Red Jane" Fonda, Kim Jong Il, (& Kim Il Jong), Mugabe, Marxist thug Chavez of Venezuela, Castro of Cuba, & France's Jacques Chirac, is a weapon of mass economic destruction.

He'll destroy the troops in Iraq, the War on Terrorism,

& the U.S. stock market with all his negative talk and whiny-leftist-liberal sour-puss troop-bashing, Bush-bashing, America-bashing talk & self-aggrandizing, ultra-negative sourpuss whiny elitist personality.

Ed Asner is a pro actor, and as much as his activism is based on generational neoMarxist ideological convictions, I am willing to bet he is paid or compensated generously in the *capitalist* sense for his name recognition.

Does anyone know if the Peace org. Asner fronts is tax exempt/non-profit?

Nothing like an actor stumping for peace in Bolshevik togs! Asner will outplay any demogogueral politician's histrionics.

The pity of it is the idealist young are lured into support.
