You have asked and you will receive.

Lord, we ask for healing for Tasmanianred's niece. Thank You that the tumor has been found, and we ask that You touch it, and make it benign. Guide the doctors who examine her, and help them to make an accurate diagnosis, and help them to determine the proper course of treatment. We know that, if You wish, You can make it disappear. May Your will be done.

Lord, we also ask that You help Cannoneer No. 4's wife, as she goes to have her brain tumor examined. We ask that you also cure her with Your healing touch.Calm her fears and help her to trust in Your provision for her. Help Cannoneer No. 4 to be strong for her, as You are strong for him.

Heal these two women, we pray, and may we always give You the praise for what You have done. Amen.

I don't know how to include everyone with a reply , so if I slight anyone please forgive me.

Surgery is scheduled for saturday. The MD said it could take from 4-14 hours. There is a significant risk of an extensive amount of facial paralysis following surgery.

My sister is trying to keep a positive attitude. She told Susan, if they are going to be paralyzed make sure you are smiling.

I spoke with my neice on Friday night. Surgery has been rescheduled to April 3. She has an otic nerve neuroma also called a schwanoma. The good news is that they are typically benign. The not so good news is that her hearing loss on the right is likely permanent. She may have balance problems for the remainder of her life. They may have to sacrifice her middle ear.

As far as side effects of the surgery, they warned her about an intraoperative cva, she has a 20 % risk of facial paralysis.

They will be using an occipital approach.

She is going for her "Mary Martin" hair cut this week. She has a very optimistic attitude about it all and is very grateful for all the prayers.

I just came from the hospital. Things have gone exceptionally well for my neice Susan. The surgery that was potentially 4-14 hrs only took 2. The tumor was encapsulated and had not invaded any nearby structures. It appears that they were able to preserve her hearing.

Within 2 hrs after coming out of the recovery room, she was awake and alert, writing coherent notes. She was anticipated to have 24 hrs on the ventilator before they even considered taking her off. With as well as she is doing, they make take her off tonight.

I checked out all her cranial nerves and they all appear to be intact. She doesn't have a brain drain in. Her vitals were good.

My sister Joyce was at the hospital all day during surgery but left after she got into the recovery room. Her back won't allow prolonged sitting. I called my sister from work and she was so relieved she nearly cried.

Susan's sister, daughter and husband are with her now.

I wanted to thank each of you for your prayers. All things are possible with the Lord. I believe this good outcome at this point was facilitated by all the prayer for Susan.

I appreciate the community of freepers more than I can express.
