My guess is it's between Streusand, McCaul, and Devine. Phillips campaign workers said that he was up there too. If hometown favoritism plays much of a factor then that might help McCaul being alone(except for Doggett Taylor) in Austin.

I am hoping for Devine who's views appear(to me) more Constitutionally based and has a proven record of standing for them, but won't be heartborken if one of the other good candidates takes it.

I drive past a big Devine billboard every day during my commute, but other than that I've seen nothing. Of course, I'm not on the list to get direct mail advertising in that District.

If I had the opportunity to vote in that election, I'd choose Devine also, although Struesand wouldn't be a bad choice, either. The Austin politicos have endorsed McCaul largely and I'm sure he'll get the lion's share of the primary vote there.

I haven't paid much attention to his positions, although he has advertised in the Houston media. All in all, it's a pack of conservatives running, all of whom are better than the large majority of current Congressmen from around the country. With no Rat opponent in November, we can't lose.
