Good find dirtboy.

How do we inform the editors that their writers are lying and that the editors/publications credibility is at stake?

I sent the editors an email - polite and to the point. If we send enough emails, maybe they'll get the message.

If it's so useless, what's the point in renewing it?

The point is that the left believe that they convince people to outlaw ANY gun, they can outlaw them all eventually.

Unless your relatives and friend are fans of evil black rifles, aka semiautomatic assault weapons, I would bet that if you showed your EBR/AW to them at least one of them would say, "What do you NEED one of them for? You can't hunt with them."

Am I right?

What an unmitigated crock! Don't the editors of these liberal rags even proof-read this nonsense? An AR-15 is based on the AK-47?????????? Malvo and Mohammed were shooting their victims at 500 Yards????? They were shooting their victims from about 40 - 60 yards at most, and most of the time they were in the same parking lot as their victims! It is appalling that a so-called journalist can get such basic facts so wrong!

"The size of the lie is a definite factor in causing it to be believed, for the vast masses of the nation are in the depths of their hearts more easily deceived than they are consciously and intentionally bad. The primitive simplicity of their minds renders them a more easy prey to a big lie than a small one, for they themselves often tell little lies but would be ashamed to tell a big one."
-- Adolf Hitler - "Mein Kampf" - (1926)

All the distortions are 100% willfull, don't doubt it for a second. The writer had an agenda, the editor agrees with that agenda, and the article basically writes itself.

The Left is comprised of some of the most delusional people on the planet. Radical Islam is populated with the most delusional.

The Savage Model 10(?)

Model 110. Arguably the best bolt rifle for the money today, accurate and affordable. No, I don't own one yet. With 5 bolt rifles I just don't NEED one. My son may be getting a rifle of his own when he turns 14 this year, just could be a 110.

Oh, c'mon, MileHi - it's not because you NEED one, it's because you WANT one.

BTW

perhaps to verify my clean criminal record, my relative sanity, the lack of any documented connections between myself and al-Qaida.

Just what paperwork does one need to "verify" sanity or lack of affiliation with some group or other? What a stupid premise.

Yep, he's basically wanting the store to prove a negative - and proudly uses that as a debating point.

If you want to get him a highly accurate and VERY affordable rifle and you don't mind it being a milsurp, get him a Swiss K-31 straight pull bolt action. Right now they are running about $100 each, and will easily shoot from 1 1/2 down to sub MOA with surplus ammo (some of the most accurate surplus you can get, too).

You can make a project out of disassembling, cleaning, rebluing the steel and sanding and refinishing the wood.

Ahhh, bonding. Might be fun, sure was with the 6.5 x 55. Nice shooting rifle.

Thanks

These people don't have a clue. If they think an AR15 is a big deal, what until they figure out what a Remington 700 Sendero can do.

Now, if your son is a bit leery of recoil, a Swede Mauser is a great choice.
