New gun owners, meanwhile, still will be recorded as part of federal gun control legislation. Say what? Under federal law, all FFL transfers go on a piece of paper, one which may not legally be destroyed for 20 years. And this is whether the purchase was of a new gun or one from a pawn shop. What is the reporter talking about?
