FIRST a lengthy mention of her relationship to Card, then a brief paragraph about her much more relevant work as an aide to Democrat congresscritters.

"She could face more than 25 years in prison if convicted."

Why isn't she up for the death penalty? She spied for the enemy during a war. If that isn't treason I'm not sure what is.

"It's sad to think someone could be led in another direction by those traits of passion and inquisitiveness," said Wright, now a Seattle Times reporter. "It seems unbelievable to me."

SAD???? It's SAD?
How about Outrageous!
Embarrassing?
Unprofessional?
Hypocritical?
Anti-American?
Unethical?
Dangerous?
Shocking?

Nah.... she's still one of your own, isn't she?
That's why the "mainstream" liberal press seeks to punish Card by touting the irrelevant relationship - he betrayed her... and he betrayed you all, didn't he?
Don't believe anyone believes you really find it all so unbelieveable.

So is $10,000 (adjusted for inflation) the equivalent of 30 pieces of silver?

Yea, the media dances around the Democrat ties and I keep thinking they must be talking about someone else. I mean how many relatives does Card have? Then I read it and it's the same freak. I'm waiting for the headline "former FOX NEWS EMPLOYEE is SPY!!!

I heard a sound-bite from this wench the other day. She was spouting off pretty good. She's anti-war and proud of it. In her mind, she couldn't possibly have done anything wrong, 'cause she's 'saving lives.'

This woman should be kept under lock and key for her own safety.

From what I 've gathered they are not charging this POS with espionage. But the fact they are charging her with conspiracy means she is the tip of the iceberg. I hate hippies.

Lindauer's former co-workers at The Herald remember her as a brilliant, passionate woman.

I am getting 60's flashbacks something fierce. I hated these folks then and I hate them now. No wonder she was so happy at getting arrested. Jerry Garcia and Ken Keasey are dead but there are still plenty around to sing her praises -- Joan Baez or Country Joe perhaps.

I e-mailed my post #4 to reporter Diane Wright and the opinion editor at the Seattle Times. I'm sure they are now chagrined. *L*

Yep! Then the coup de grace (or "she's obviously nuts" approach)...

"But Lindauer's former supervisor at The Herald, where she wrote editorials between August 1987 and July 1989, said she suffered from devastating mood swings and sometimes "erratic" behavior."

See? Even if she WAS a democrat supporter/operative, the poor girl obviously had mental problems...and we should all feel pity for her. (Hey! Do you suppose this might run in the Card family? Maybe it's a genetic thing?)

One of many profound examples evident in the left wing of the democrat party of the utterly incapable pretending they are something they are not, or claiming to do something they cannot, and still think they have achieved their objective and accomplished something. She actually would be more helpful if she cleaned up cigarett butts along the Long Island Sound.

"I did more to stop terrorism in this country than anybody else," said Lindauer, who has a master's degree in public policy from the London School of Economics. "I worked to get weapons inspectors back to Iraq when everyone else said it was impossible."

I wonder about her anti-American protests and lifelong contacts she made while studying in London.

Anybody else have trouble believing this?

With a degree like that, what is she doing working for newspapers and as a press aide to congresscritters?

I'd like to see somebody in the media confirm her credentials before I believe it.

My guess is she's manic-depressive (bi-polar), with paranoid delusions, as well as delusions of grandeur, during the manic phase. The comments by her co-workers about her being "energetic," prone to mood swings, and "difficult to work with" are the tip-offs.

Now that she's been outed, they must distance themselves from her.... may as well find a way to take down Card during the painful process, eh? She's a martyr.

Article 3 Section 3.
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.

Sounds like treason to me.

If you're going to lie about a masters degree on your resume, you may as well make it from a foreign country.
