March 13, 2004 -- A tantalizing clue has emerged pointing to al Qaeda as the culprits in the Madrid bombings - there were exactly 911 days between the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and the latest atrocity.

The Spain tragedy, which occurred on 3/11, also fell 21/2 years to the day after the planes slammed into the Twin Towers.

The "tantalizing clue" was being discussed, challenged and debated on this forum only a couple of hours after the bombings. I've been watching the news channels for a mention since this tragedy. They "discovered" this lead last night.

The leader of the radical Islamic group al-Muhajiroun said in London that the bombings were a message from al Qaeda in retaliation for "Spain's atrocities in Iraq." Omar Bakri Mohammed, suspected of having links with al Qaeda in Europe, said Italy could be next. He said groups linked to al Qaeda in Europe had warned of a trilogy of terror.

Okay. We know that our emergency number is 911. On a local talk show last night, a caller said that in Europe they write for example their dates like this: 11-3-04 which is March 11, 2004 or 3/11/04 for us. The emergency number in Europe is 113. Does anybody know if that's true?

It is likely the terrorists forgot this is a leap year. Using their calculations, it is 911 days.

It's also 911 days, I think I heard or read, if you use EST time.
