Since 60% of their sales are abroad, I'd bet 50% of their employees are non-US. That's got to be tens of thousands of people.
I found a dollar store in Portland, Oregon that sells Heinz food products for only a dollar. Why pay full retail price for a product that was made overseas? Never again will I go to a supermarket and pay the shelf-price. Never again!

I worked for Heinz briefly after graduation from Duke University Fuqua School of Busioness (MBA). Subsequently, I traveled internationally as a Merchant Banker. I would give most anything I had to re-enter any business with an international flavor.
In fact, I am currently looking at several companies to acquire/invest in that source their products overseas. I make no apologies for the fact that certain prodcuts simply cannot be made in the US for a price that Wally-world customers want to pay.
The myopic narrow-minded nimwits simply amaze me.

The Democrats are secular and have been made invisible to the voters by the press. That is what allows Kerry to make these outrageous statements such as the one last month, “When I am president, and with your help, we’re going to repeal every benefit, every loophole, every reward that entices any Benedict Arnold company or CEO to take the money and the jobs overseas and stick the American people with the bill.” He knows that the mainstream press will not mention that Kerry is heavily invested in companies that send jobs overseas and that employees at 25 companies that outsource jobs have contributed more than $370,000 to Kerry’s campaign.
The only thing I was going to defend was Banana Ketchup from PI it was a staple in our home growing up but I never remembered a Heinz Label on it.
