Please excuse me, but I must not be awake yet. I know you are making an attempt at humor, but what does Taco Bell have to do with Spain or Zapatero?

I for one find it shocking and appalling that the Spanish people could be so stupid in their voting out Aznar and voting in this socialist POS...

I am completely dumbfounded at this display of pathetic pacifism. I mean, how could so many people have HUA disease??? (HUA = Head Up Arse). Whatever happened to self-respect with these people...no backbone, no guts???

They just gonna roll over and whimper like whipped dogs??? Sheesshhh...throw dirt on 'em and bury them now. All they'll get is what they've already gotten...more of the same of 3/11. Not all the Spaniards deserve this, some of them had backbone.

I emailed them-- in Spanish. I told them that Zapatero and his party were capitulators, that the terrorists had triumphed, and that it was a national shame for Spain. I didn't call names.

You're so right. If only 5% more of those who voted had had that backbone the outcome would have been different.

I am curious. Why give both an email address and a URL? What am I missing?
And why email the administrator of an obscure web site? What does "psoe.es" represent? (not the es part I figured that one out: España)

I plan to write my thoughts in Spanish, and it will take some time. I don't get to do that often these days.

However, my opinion is that no one who did not take the time to express sorrow and sympathy for their recent tragedy should feel entitled to rag on them; that is boorish.

I do think it's appropriate, however, to express sympathy first and disappointment also at this point in view of recent events.

I don't think that's a good idea.

Once he's in power, the new prime minister will be tested by his decisions, not by his electioneering.

Ronald Reagan said he would blockade Cuba in response to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, and once he became president, he did nothing of the sort against Cuba.

I suggest we allow the new government to rule for a while before we become we clog the Socialist Party e-mail inbox.

So Socialist Party leader Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero took advantage of the recent "el Dia de Hispanidad" celebrations to demonstrate his opposition with a flamboyant gesture. Zapatero defiantly remained seated while a U.S. naval unit carried Old Glory past a reviewing stand in an armed forces parade, while members of Aznar's Popular Party stood and cheered. King Juan Carlos, who was reviewing the parade, stood to salute the American flag. Zapatero did manage to applaud when the Spanish flag was carried past.

Folks can ask him about this behavior in October of 2003.

I pray that you just forgot the sarcasm tag (Even though this would not fit sarcasm.) and not just ignorant.
First of all, Taco Bell serves MEXICAN style food, not Spanish.

Second of all, Taco Bell is owned by YUM foods, and AMERICAN company out of Louisville KY. They also run Pizza Hut and KFC. How will boycotting them hurt the Sapanish? Seems to me that it would hurt OUR economy.
