Sad that any country would allow itself to be so transparently manipulated.

It's laughable in a black comedy sort of way:
The predictable European acquiescence to evil, the retreat, the eventual blood letting, then finally, the eventual turn to America for assistance.
Makes one want to grab a bag of popcorn and put ones feet up on the ottoman.

"We think the Spanish government will not stand more than two blows, or three at the most, before it will be forced to withdraw because of the public pressure on it,"
'two blows, or three at most'
Well, they underestimated the Spaniards' lack of resolve. It only took one to elect the Socialist, who has already announced intentions to withdraw from the War on Terrorism.

I'd investigate ties between the Socialist and Al-Queda. Who profited most from these attacks?

John Kerry thinks he profited most from these attacks.
Spain should withdraw from the coalition, because it's a coalition of the willing. If they don't want to be there, does anybody want them watching their flank?
To: mondonico
John Gibson didnt pull any punches with his "My word" segment tonight. He commented that a spanish citizen was heard to say that maybe now the terrorists would leave spain alone.
He spoke directly to the citizens of spain and "all it took was 10 bombs and your country folded like a cheap tent" He also asked "How many brits did you kill" in re the terrorism that is sure to follow.

Don't get too comfy. We have a similar situation here. Mexico and South America have alot muslim/Islamic influence in recent years. Our southern borders aren't slowing the flow of illegals. They all aren't just interested in getting jobs washing toilets.
If Kerry wins in November, we are in the same sinking boat as Europe. Like it or not, that election is too close to call. It will be another squeeker, unless something significant happens before it to sway the election to one candidate or the other.

Any sane nation of intelligent people would have postponed their elections for a month of mourning...and getting voters' heads on straight after the attack instead of letting the leftists foment rebellion in the streets 2 days before the election. I think our Congress ought to pass a law that would automatically postpone national elections if we are attacked right before our elections.
To: KantianBurke
The worst part is the fact that few spanish citizens will ever know the real story about this.
