WASHINGTON - John Kerry yesterday charged that President Bush failed to win the "war of ideas" against Osama bin Laden and isn't doing enough the safeguard America.
Kerry - who seldom speaks out on terrorism, which is considered a winning issue for Bush - said the White House "hasn't pursued a strategy to win the hearts and minds of people around the world and win the war of ideas against the radical ideology of Osama bin Laden."

But... I thought the threat from terrorism has been over-exaggerated? Not to mention that, just a few short weeks ago, Kerry denied there even WAS a war on terror. He said it was merely a law enforcement and intelligence mission.
To: John Thornton
I don't think he worries, because it is a Kerry policy to conform his ideas to those of whomever he wants to please that day. Remember, he is the king of the FLIP FLOP!

No...the way to win the war of ideas is to invite the Al-Queda in and supply them with weapons of mass destruction to teach us trangressors a lesson (extreme sarcasm)

"Kerry = Zapatero."
From another thread, it was indicated that th Kerry campaign had extended an invitation to meet with Zapatero.

'War of ideas' with OBL.
I swear when I read that I had to look up and reconfirm that the source was not 'The Onion'.

Well, don't you know that Kerry is allowed to change his mind every 5 minutes
What an unfounded charge! What I like best about "Ol' Horseface" is that he comes down squarely on both sides of ever issue:
For Operation Iraqi Freedom? So's John! Against Operation Iraqi Freedom? So's John!
For a big tax hike? So's John! Against a big tax hike? So's John!
Love the military? So does John? Hate the military? So does John!
Better intelligence? That's what John wants! Defund the CIA? That's what John wants!
Like gay marriage? So does John! Against gay marriage? So does John!
Like abortions? So does John! Pro Life? So does John!
What's not to like about him? He's got something for everybody!

If the enlightened traditions of American freedom and Western Judeo-Christian thought can't win a "war of ideas" against Islamist theological fascism
without even trying, then the world is screwed.
There is no "war of ideas." This is a fight of freedom vs. slavery, of civilization vs. barbarism. If that isn't glaringly obvious to Senator Kerry (D-Bordeaux), he isn't smart enough to deserve to be President.

John al-Qerry is one of those "New Age" kind of guys: guitar-strumming, Kumbaya-singing, incense-burning, crytal-gazing, and figwort-snorting "cool dude." Yup. He thinks the way to address Islamist terrorism is to defeat them with a "war of ideas". That will really scare them. In all candor, America cannot afford to have this lose cannon at the helm. I mean, Gore was bad, but this guy shows every indication of being certifiably unstable.

The rain in Spain is not over.
Can't wait to see what happens
when the Spaniards execute the
terrorists that were caught!
Will Bin Laden send roses or C-4.

This scumbag is trying to set up a windfall for himself if we are attacked before the election, a la Madrid. The administration needs to neutralize this NOW by (a) explaining how it's dealing with terrorism WHILE (b) AT THE SAME TIME explaining how we all have to remain vigilant because there is no way to eliminate the risk completely AND (c) proposing anti-terror legislation, like renewal of the Patriot Act, that Kerry will have to oppose to appease his scumbag leftist base.
I hope someone in Rove's organization is taking this dispicable Kerry tactic seriously.

"America doesn't need leaders who play politics with 9/11 or see the war on terror as just another campaign issue," Kerry said. "Our nation's safety is too important. And if I am president, we will work toward victory in the war on terror..."
Bwaahahahahahaha! Oh, this is too funny.
