The "non-partisan' Pew Global Attitudes Project, chaired by Madeleine Albright, no less, were very selective in the countries they chose for this survey.

What of the opinions of other countries which have sent troops to Iraq, such as, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Denmark, Portugal, Norway, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Albania, Macedonia, Slovakia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, New Zealand, Mongolia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Honduras. Or did they know they wouldn't get the desired results if these countries were included?

As we celebrate St. Patrick's day and honor the memory of the Irish who starved in the Potato Famine...

we should also remember the Iraqis who starved because powerful people skimmed the fat off the top of the UN's Oil for Food program.

We have the UN Food For Oil Program where everyone made out like a champ except for the Iraqi people, yet people question our motives. World opinion is a joke, as we will always be treated badly even though we do so much good around the world. I think it's called jealousy.

In Britain, where last year most people backed the war, more are now opposed to the war than support it.

I would like to see a source for that opinion poll. The numbers have been moving up and down, they went heavily in favour as soon as H.M. Forces were in action, afterwards they declined (partially due to the W.M.D. mess), but the most recent stats I have heard were compiled late last week and were done for the Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation (i.e., no chance of right-wing bias) and gave a clear majority who thought that the invasion was right. The details were given in a B.B.C. Newsnight Special programme, see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/3513850.stm for more details, and the chance to watch the programme over the web.

Has anyone noticed that since Kerry made his statement about leaders of other countries wanting Kerry instead of Bush to be president and he couldn't back it up that an increase of the kind of news print has been popping up.
