I wonder....

Are people of white European heritage in the wrong to be concerned about their race disappearing from the planet, or is that racist?

Blacks and hispanics would be allowed to think about it. But if whites do, that's racist.

As part of my hundreds of years of proud mixed heritage, I will do everything possible to ensure that folks marry everybody else's folks, regardless of race. In my family, if it looks good, and it's the opposite sex, we don't care. We'll marry it!

Some people here I suspect aren't real Republicans but rather remnants of the bigoted Southern Democratic party and feel a little too comfortable here, but alas that shall change pretty soon.

Neither do I. From what I have seen, most Cuban Americans in California assimilate quickly, whereas, the last 10 years, Mexican immigrants, especially illegals, no longer do so.

America was founded and built by white Europeans. This is not racist, it is fact.

Many reasons but mainly because so many of them are so rich and driven by nothing greater than staying that way.

Fwiw, one of the fastest growing subsets of native-born Americans are evangelical Christians.

That's a big reason (among many) why this country has gone from 66% Democrat in the 1970s to only 50% now.

I think he is saying that asian and hispanic people don't have the capacity for freedom that Burke described the American colonies holding. At least that's the intent I come away with from his personal commentary at the end of the quote.

I think we all must keep in mind how things can change in 46 years- society has change in expected and unexcepted ways since 1958, it will do so between today and 2050. This may not come to pass, or the whole idea of race could be far less meaningless in 46 years.

This projection also is based on the idea of Hispanic as a "race" instead of as an ethnicity. A measure strictly by race means that whites will remain in the majority in 2050.

No one else seems to think so. The media's agenda is to create white guilt where there should be none. The agenda also tries to make everyone think that whites are the only people guilty of racism, and that whites are evil. I feel guilty of nothing. Not sure I have the answer to the latter, I suppose it has some sort of affect. Not an easy answer to that one I suppose.

Thanks! Well if one looked at slave societies that existed back then of course someone could think that. It's asinine to think that people immigrating to this country today have that mentality though.

I put sarcasm tags on my comment to state that I am glad you don't get to choose. Socialism is socialism and capitalism is capitalism it isn't an ideology attached to a persons color, culture or nature. That is why a white European should be treated with as much accord as a Latino or African, etc.
