THis is yet another case of heterophobes setting the agenda to benifit them. The comment the pricipal made about being normal for one and not normal to another is an outright cop-out. A fence sitting lib who has no guts to take a stand against this moral attack on the MAJORITY which is heterosexual. Makes you wonder about her doesn't it?

I'm kinda partial to 'Gay-Homosexual'. It sounds official.

Rules to live by for you:

1. Never marry, she will cheat and get everything.

2. Never have kids, they will get indoctrinated to disgusting and immoral behavior.

Of course, my husband tells his friends that there is really no point to marriage unless one plans to have children.

Seriously though, I am so sick of this PC BS. Kids do not need to know about this stuff. And when it is time, my kids will learn that it is not acceptable and whoever does it is sick, disgusting and almost certainly will get an illness and die. I am about to put the terrorists and homos on an island, we can let allah sort them out. Are either group doing anything to help society? If the homos could mind their own business and stop throwing their immorality in my face, I might feel differently. Do they need my acceptance or society's because they know they are doing something wrong? Probably.

So do you imagine that they also have childrens bible stories based on history on their shelves, too. It seems those would be "appropriate for some families" as well.

Bondage, rape and manslaughter might not be appropriate
for one parent but is fine for another.

How about a more apt book like "Daddy's Gay and Depressed" or "Uncle Jim caught syphillis at the bathhouse"? If you're going to talk about homosexuality, let's talk about all the pieces of it.....not just the 'happy' side of it.

Excellent point! Interesting, too, when one considers the recent trend toward more "enlightened" teaching of history, to include the most negative things (you know, racist, imperialist, environment-desecrating, female oppressing, backwards America). The same standard ought to be applied to social issues... especially homosexuality.

No, Ms. Miars...............you're just another droolingly-stupid, worthless, ultra-liberal, never-got-laid-in-college liberal educrat. Dime a dozen.

True enough..........but they don't let their "frustrations" manifest themselves in ways that harm young people. I've known dozens of this type.

I you ask me, you'd have to be insane to send your children to a public school these days. It was already bad enough when I went to school, and it's much worse now.

I feel like writing an e-mail to the librarian and rather honestly telling her exactly what these two 'princes' do with their various body parts and how dangerous it is.....yeah, she probably has no idea!! /sarcasm off!

I think "their" agenda could be summed up as, oh, I don't know; "No child left behind."

>>"People should simply check books like this out of the library, then "keep" them for a very long time."<<

The problem with this is that it may be seen as, "We need to order more of these because they so popular that someone wants to keep it."

Walk in to the library with white shoe polish.
Do one book a day. The pages stick beautifully and no one can tell until they go to open them.

Hey, I felt the same way. I was afraid to have kids because of all the bad things going on, but we did it anyhow. We decided before ours were even 'in the oven' that they would never set foot in a public school.

We have our boys in a Wisconsin Synod Lutheran school and are VERY happy. I guarantee you there are no books like this in our school's library.

Check out the description at Amazon.com of the sequel, King & King and Family.

Book Description Join newlyweds King Lee and King Bertie on their journey into the noisy jungle. The kings are greeted by wild animal families, but the royal travelers suspect that something more significant awaits them in the trees. King & King soon discover that there’s no adventure more wonderful than starting a family of their own.

Since the librarian is so ignorant of what's in her school library, what's to stop parents from buying more wholesome books (or anti-homosexual literature) and having their children deposit the newly acquired books on the shelves without the librarian's knowlege? Won't she be surprised when a child tries to check one out. She'll really feel ignorant about what she has on her shelves.

They could also remove (not check out, but remove)objectional books and throw them in the nearest dumpster on their way home from school.

Since the librarian and principal like to play mind games with the press and parents, turnabout is fair play.

True.....there's no room for rational thinking and/or truth in our schools, though.
