THE DEFINITION OF A REAL ALLY IN THE WAR ON TERRORISM
boortz.com ^ | March 19, 2004 | Neal Boortz

Since Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction haven't been found yet (he had them, it's just a question of where they went,) many of our supposed "allies" are turning into weak-kneed Islamic terrorism appeasers. You have the Al Qaeda-backed election in Spain, and now the president of Poland says he was also "misled." The real reason these countries have joined the axis of weasels is because they have abandoned the war on terrorism. Too bad for them. We'll have to keep that in mind the next time they need something.

But let's talk about a real ally in the war on terrorism. A country that doesn't just pay lip service to the fight against Islamic terrorist, but one that actually takes action. I am talking about Pakistan. Let's just look at the evidence of their actual assistance in hunting down and killing members of Al Qaeda, as well as participating in the hunt for Osama Bin Laden.

Yesterday, the President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf said that his government had 200 Al Qaeda fighters surrounded, believed to be protecting the terror network's second in command, Ayman al-Zawahiri. You may have seen this loser on TV delivering his "message" via the Al- Jazeera network. A Pakistani General said his forces were committed to " finish off the terrorists" and that within a day or two there might be " good news" to report.

That's how you fight the war on terrorism. You fight it with helicopter gunships and artillery, not hot air at the United Nations.

Someone needs to tell Neal that it appears the Polish President was misquoted. Still good commentary from Neal.

Do not forget the Brits. Tony Blair laid it all on the line for the USA at great political cost to himself. He put what is right ahead of personal ambition, just as our President did.

History will treat Prime Minister Blair and President Bush as great men.

60% of Pakistan holds a positive opinion of Osama Bin Laden, so I'd be a little more careful before I heap tons of praise on the entire country. Musharaf has had 2 assasination attempts in recent months and took over the country in a military coup.

What is with all this, Yes...but, crappola. All we can go on is performance and which of our Allies are performing??? Give them a break and cut the buttzzzz. That sounds like all the rest of the weak-kneed apologist.

Worth repeating.

This is just ridiculous. The Spaniards had already decided to oust Aznar.

It reminds me of our Euro election which was over shadowed by the assassination of Anna Lind on September 11. Even though everyone said that her death would secure a yes vote (sympathy vote) despite the polls showing a lead for the no side (she was pro euro) the no side won by a margin.

It is a gross over simplification to say that the Spanish election was sponsored by Al-Qaida.

Boortz is a fool. He's lost his grip on reality -- Pakistan IS the enemy. It just makes sham claims of capturing alQ to get more money out of us (and we like fools keep giving it to them).

Some comments from Paknews on this: "wat is wrong with ther muslim world , the leaders are cowards, how r the going answer 4 their actions. muslims are being oppressed troughout the world. specailly in palastine, Our so called leaders turn a blind eye to everything to busy enjoyin thier black label, woman, creatin secratrianism, to be worried about thier ummaa. then they critise the west, at least they west stick together. Wat we need is a muslim peace keep force specially n israel, kashmir, iraq. beware leaders muslim blood is on your hands. Allah is watchin, wake up n save the muslim world. The world is big enough 4 everyone to live n peace. fight extremism amongest ourself shai or sunni wat difference . we r all god childern " sic

"Her comment is typical of a comfortable Americanised Pakistani. Who are eager to make greater freindship with those in the White (Balck) House and the KEnesset in return for some material benefit. We alll though Pakistan was supposed to be a sanctuary for Muslims, never mind. At least the likes of these people along with Ijaz Mansoor can make the quick buck and fame. UBL crew" They actually call themselves UBL crew and Osama is the number one hero in Pakistan

If you think "Pakistan" is a monolithic entity, you should rethink.

Pakistan was a country created specifically forMuslims. The Majority of its population support alQ and are anti-American. It has Shariah laws in place and persecutes religious minorities (even Shias). It also owns the self-dubbed "Islammic bombb" and has a military dictator in power -- a dictator who overthrew a democratically elected government, a dictator, who, as military head, supported terrorrists and who funded the Talibs up until 9/11 and even after that, clandestinely.

The overwhelming majority are against us and pro-trror, so, what does "If you think "Pakistan" is a monolithic entity, you should rethink." mean?
