KERRY ON KERRY: RECKLESS AND IRRESPONSIBLE

This is from "Face the Nation" on September 14, 2003:
Sen. KERRY: I think we need--I think we need to roll back the top end of the Bush tax cut.
McMANUS: If that amendment does not pass, will you then vote against the $87 billion?
Sen. KERRY: I don't think any United States senator is going to abandon our troops and recklessly leave Iraq to--to whatever follows as a result of simply cutting and running. That's irresponsible. What is responsible is for the administration to do this properly now. And I am laying out the way in which the administration could unite the American people, could bring other countries to the table, and I think could give the American people a sense that they're on the right track. There's a way to do this properly. But I don't think anyone in the Congress is going to not give our troops ammunition, not give our troops the ability to be able to defend themselves. We're not going to cut and run and not do the job.
Look, we could--we could do this job over a period of time at greater loss, at greater risk, and with much loss around the world with respect to the United States. The question is will we do this the best way possible so that we do the best to protect our troops and the best to advance the safety and security of the United States?
SCHIEFFER: Senator, let me...
Sen. KERRY: My plan will do that.

I still keep wondering if this isn't a setup.....why would they allow such a flawed candidate to get this far I know what you mean. --- I keep waiting for the "Torrecelli moment" when Miss Kerry withdraws from the race because he cannot win (of course, the media will say it's for "for health reasons".)
Something smells.

You are one of the best minds here cyn.
I am gratified to be on your wave length this time!

He is worse than Clinton. He's flat-out dangerous. The man is a coward and an appeaser. I think he might also be a traitor. This doesn't make Miss Kerry "worse than Clinton". This makes Miss Kerry a Clinton clone.
To: jackbill
It's always been about the president's approval rating. If voters don't care for Bush, they'll choose Kerry.

Clinton wanted to be loved.
I see Kerry as just wanting to wield power.
I see Kerry as anti-American en total.

Cyn......who dug up the tape? It's called Lexis-Nexis.
As Ann Coulter said in a recent column:
"Liberals simply can't grasp the problem Lexis-Nexis poses to their incessant lying."

"Whaaat??" I know, that was my first reaction as well. He cannot agree with our President because of an election - America and its people be damned. How very sad.

I saw it on Brit Hume just tonight! And Jeff Birnbaum said "Kerry had an off week. And then he took a week off." And Jeff is the liberal balance on the panel on Special Report.
He also said that Bush's ads weren't as hard on Kerry as Kerry's own words.
Can you spell implosion?
Hillary's warming up in the bull-pen.

He and Hellary would be perfect mates, too bad she doesn't have more money or she could be his next heiress.
To: redlipstick
This is unbelievable even for Kerry.
And I don't think these are simple mistakes that can be easily forgotten by election day...because they speak clearly to the character of John Kerry.
He's made himself look like a totally unprincipled political opportunist without a core.
And those images of him contradicting himself can be used over and over again.

If voters don't care for Bush, they'll choose Kerry.,President Bush will be up in the high 50's come election time. He has had everything but the kitchen sink thrown at him in the last 4 mos, and the rats cannot drag him below 50%. He just opened up this last week, and still has a quiver full of arrows.
To: Mo1
Shhhhhhh!I've got a rep to maintain.
To: Dog
Because they are all so incredibly shallow they really can't see much of this til it's too late- and much they just wave off as unimportant & irrelevant. I mean really, he can snowboard! He's cool! Vote for him! LOLOLLOL bwahahahah!

To: Jorge
This is just unbelievable.
Every time he opens his mouth he blurts something outrageous. Then, right after his big gaffe of "I voted for it before I voted against it" he heads off on his photo-op Idaho vacation, and leaves the Bush/Cheney campaign the time to define his character.
Unbelievably stoopid!
