I remember it. An internet search shows he may be in Syria or Iran now. Tick Tock Tick Tock.

Yes, I remember Robert Stethem. I will never forget him or his name. It was when he was brutally tortured and murdered that I first realized just what subhuman, satanic vermin these terrorists are. Since then, they have only confirmed this realization.

I remember, too. We must relentlessly follow these murderers and bring them to American justice or retribution. Let them know fear. They can run but there is no hiding. Harboring them should have a high price in blood.

Still not allowed to comment on why we don't have Mugniyah right now (it's one of those 'I'd tell ya, but then...'), but a fellow where I work is a retired Navy Chief, who was Stetham's Chief before he went through the dive program. He was the one who encouraged him to do it.

I remember. This war began long before September 11, 2001.
Leon Klinghoffer and the passengers aboard Pan Am 103 were also early casualties in the 21st century crusades.

I say render them impotent or annihilate them, whichever is easier. Leave the retribution to the "god" they serve; their souls are his, and he has a special place in hell for them (I hope they're not expecting mercy; Satan is definitely not merciful).

I also remember.
I was living in Norfolk, Va. at the time and one of my best friends attended his funeral. Stethem had joined the Salvation Army a few weeks before his death and they provided the funeral services.

The Delta forceThe story does include characters based on real life hostages of the TWA crisis: Navy diver Robert Stethem - the only passenger who was singled out and killed by the TWA hijackers - is known simply as "Tom" in "The Delta Force." Also, the film's character "Ingrid" was clearly drawn from Uli Derickson, a courageous flight attendant aboard the TWA jet who stood up to her captors in attempt to save passengers' lives. And let's not forget the hijackers themselves: In "The Delta Force," only two terrorists actually make the flight while the third is detained in Athens, just as in the TWA incident.

Hell of a way to get a ship named after you.

I think nobody would choose this way to get a ship named for themselves (better to live to see it like Arleigh Burke!) but rest assured, the US Navy remembers their own.
