From the Desk of Hillary Rodham Clinton (Shudder)
email | 3/23/2004 | Hillary Rodham Clinto,

Posted on 03/23/2004 5:14:18 PM PST by listenhillary

I appreciate having this opportunity to talk with you about something that's important to both of us -- the 2004 presidential election. You and I share a strong desire to put John Kerry in the White House, and we're not alone:

Did you know that in the past five days, nearly 75,000 people from all across the country have donated almost $7 million to help John Kerry get his message out?

I am writing today to ask you for your help, too.

By contributing to this great cause, you can make sure that John Kerry's message of hope, promise, and opportunity isn't drowned out in a sea of Republican attacks.

We've already seen how mean-spirited a race the Republicans plan to run this year. George W. Bush has even gone negative in his television ads. Should they be allowed to get away with this kind of campaigning?

No! John Kerry is going to fight back every step of the way, and we need to be there to help him. Because we know that, in an open contest of ideas, John Kerry's leadership and vision for America will win out against George W. Bush's narrow agenda.

I have known John a long time, and it has been a pleasure to work with him in the Senate for more than three years. I've seen firsthand the power of his intellect, the breadth of his experience, and the depth of his commitment to Democratic values. This campaign is not just about sending George W. Bush back to Texas. It is about restoring hope, opportunity, and prosperity to our nation by electing John Kerry president.

I am delighted to be a part of this dramatic display of our Party's unity and sense of purpose. Our spirits are high and our determination to win is the strongest I have ever seen. I urge you to help make history by helping make John Kerry's ten day fundraising drive a big success. Will you join us today?

https://contribute.johnkerry.com;

Thank you for taking the time to consider this request, and I hope we can count on you to help John Kerry get his message out, and get America moving in the right direction again.

With best regards,

nearly 75,000 people from all across the country have donated almost $7 million

Why does this seem not likely to me? During which five days specifically is she addressing? Did 5 donors come up with 95% of that figure?

I have known John a long time, and it has been a pleasure to work with him in the Senate for more than three years.

Just how long?

Run of the mill fund raising stuff. Not very inspired, either. This woman has never had an inspired writer or delivery.

I miss my old truck, it had a bumpersticker that read:
I WISH I LIVED IN NY SO I COULD VOTE AGAINST HILLARY.

If she gets on the '04 ticket I'll get my wish!

Kind a reminds me of the "you're a hell of an AG and we need you" talk LBJ gave to Bobby Kennedy following JFK's assassination. It was no secret these two had nothing but disdain for each other and the rest is history.

I wonder if this is a special website that tracks contributions to this letter and how much of the take Hillary gets?

How would one find out?

Works out to $93.33 each. Musta been tapped-out from the cost of all the same-sex-marriage reception parties taking place lately. Putting two grooms on a cake makes it a fruit cake.

...his commitment to Democratic values.

There's a HUGE difference between democratic values and common RAT values.

The Kerry campaign has been ONLY about sending W back to Texas. What a lame attempt to redefine.

Anyone else notice that John Kerry bears a striking resemblance to Herman Munster? Maybe that's why Morticia--I mean Hildebeast-- supports him.

Once again,in true Saul Alinsky fashion, Hellary is using the oldest philosophical and psychological trick there is: distract someone from your own obvious flaws by putting them on the defensive with an outrageous, unfounded and prejudiced claim. No group of people does it better than the Leftist/Third Way/Democratic Party. BTW, they've only just begun.

Ditto! `Not very inspired, run of the mill'. Not what you'd expect from "the smartest woman in America". The Washington Times (that rightwing Moonie rag!) actually ran her column for a year or so, on page two, no less. And then Hillary had it pulled! Hmmm - the VRWC at work?

As to this, her fundraiser - BAARRFFF!

What a mechanical letter - just like the person who signed her name to it.

Have you ever wondered about: "With best regards", or "Take care", or "Have a nice day", or "Best wishes."

Why would a complete stranger try to personalize a letter asking for money from people she never will meet, nor would she care to spend any time with in the first place.

A simple "Thank you for your donation" would have been more honest. Course Hillary Rodham Clinton doesn't know how to be honest or sincere does she? One has to have the ability to care for others. I think she lacks in that department.

Got a long way to go Hillary - keep on stumbling around.

Gives us something to watch, like a bullfight or Tonya Harding skating again!

Hard up!! Second one today. This from John Edwards

Thinking their base is all fired up from the 9/11 hearings I bet??????

Start of begging letter...

Dear Senator McCain (my sign up name on their site)
I am writing to you now to ask you to act in support of my good friend Senator John Kerry. John will be our next President, I am sure of it, and he will lead this country with wisdom and an unswerving vision. He knows that we can once again inspire the world with our optimism and strength.

But make no mistake: we're in the fight of our lives. This president will stop at nothing to win in November, and he would rather help his insider friends than take the steps we desperately need to create jobs and restore hope to everyday Americans. He is using fear and division to obscure what the American people know: that we need a new leader in the White House. And he would rather distort John Kerry's record and try to win by throwing mud than tell the truth and expose his real record.

Fortunately, the American people are all too aware of the truth about George W. Bush. Over 3 million of them have lost their jobs under his watch, as they've seen his CEO cronies double and triple their own salaries. 35 million Americans live in poverty, desperate for work and respect, watching incredulously as the government hands tax breaks to big business. And Americans of all backgrounds have watched the gap between rich and poor widen under his administration, and realized that only the rich do well in George W. Bush's America.

But John Kerry will build one America -- one that works for all of us, not just the privileged few. But to do this, we must stand together and support John against the Republican attack machine. Your financial support right now to John Kerry's "$10 Million in 10 Days" campaign will send a clear message to George W. Bush: we will not stand for another four years!

https://contribute.johnkerry.com;

John Kerry is the leader we need right now. I am going to do everything I can to support his run for President, and I'm asking you to do the same. Together, we can build a country where no one is left behind, no one is forgotten, and everyone has an equal chance.

Believe it or not, a small donation is one of the most powerful ways to act for John Kerry. $25, $50, or $100 now allows John to get his message in front of millions of Americans. It's that simple.

https://contribute.johnkerry.com;

Thank you,

Breck Girl wanna be John Edwards
