Here are a few likely accomplices:

In this photo below, notice the hand. Perfect for pitching incendiary statements into the national debate:

And, of course, the Axis of Evil Hero himself, checking his wallet to make sure he's been paid:

Islamic extremists have changed tactics and are focusing on recruiting local sympathizers

I think we saw a lot of them this past weekend on television marching around with signs didn't we?

...the 9/11 Commisssion has made it clear that the government can protect aginst everything...

Isn't it crazy? How does anyone know that even if Osama had been killed, 9/11 would not have happened? Let's face it, air travel has been rife for terrorism for decades (and still is not bulletproof against it). There are numerous other opportunities for our enemies to hurt us.

We were not ready for suicide missions and still aren't. I am sur that any suicide bomber could hop onto a bus in any of our large cities and detonate, RIGHT NOW.

Why does this commission think that a single administration should be brought to blame for this? I don't blame Clinton for 9/11. He could have stopped bin Laden but 9/11 cannot be laid at the feet of any administration.

"I tend to believe that another attack on American soil will guarantee Bush's re-election. "

Me too. Americans tend to get more pi$$ed off about such things than do Euro-appease-peans do.

Well, DUH!

AP must be losing the battle for hearts and minds to publish this no-brainer.

I also think that another terrorist attack on America would result in nationwide martial law and a suspension of many Constitutional rights.

It all depends where they strike. They, the terrorists, know that the "Rock the Vote" set, who normally just rock and do not vote, will be the lynch pin given what happened in Spain. If a few human bombs pop at Lollapalooza in the late summer, that would scare the crap out of them and they would vote for Peace.
