I don't know, but I've always like Richard Simmons.
He's a little wierd, but exercise and self-improvement is a good thing to advocate, endorse and promote.
He's successful and that's alright.

Its just the way he talks and moves that make me cringe.
This may have been a publicity stunt, His Janets nipple..
What the guy said doesnt seem as if that would rile him up that much.
If he has helped many people lose weight I can respect that part, telling heavy people the truth (exercise is key)instead of selling snake oil like so many.

Richard Simmons is a nice guy.
He's a fat kid from New Orleans who made something of himself. He got in shape, overcame some self-esteem issues, (boy, did he ever!!), and became very successful.
I admire that and it's an example of the American dream thingy that we advocate and promote here on Free Republic. He should be applauded for it.
The scurrilous rumors that somehow he is less manly a man than Rock Hudson or Michael Huffington really aren't any of our business are they?

Someone annointing him queen? :-) Seriously I like Richard Simmons. He's encouraged a lot of women to lose weight. He has that same look, and has never had plastic surgery I think.
