I remember back when this was all happening. A whole lot of scared people. My sisters who were in there early twenties pretty much had my older brother escort them where ever they went. Before this happened I was allowed to ride my bike all across town over to friends houses. Afterwards I had to stay away from the river and other places when I was by my self.

Here's a question though. My memory is foggy but wasn't there a woman arrested for sending her self BTK letters?

You're thinking of "The Poet"...another true-crime story from Wichita.

I also grew up in Wichita and was a pre-teen during the height of BTK drama....I can still remember the sleepless nights wondering if every late-night noise was "him"....

Here's hoping that DNA evidence finally helps to bring this monster to justice...
