From later in the Fox News article:The FDA did recently look at possibly changing, or even dropping, the question about gay sex. But an advisory committee said doing that would risk putting blood recipients in danger of contracting the deadly AIDS virus.

1] part of this is due to the common mis-information tactic of claiming "I/he/she got AIDS from a transfusion..." when in fact they got it from a distinct but politically Correct (perverse) sex life.
2] Or maybe from a friend's needle.
3] I may get hammered for this but I refuse to give blood to the Red Cross entirely because of their lousy reaction to HIV in the blood supply back in the eighties.

You know it is only a matter of time before the left demands that people with hepatitis and other diseases be granted the "right" to donate blood. After all, these diseases are a disability, and it is discrimination to not allow people with communicable diseases to donate blood. It's crazy, isn't it? A person can say they got HIV/AIDS from a blood transfusion, but really, what does that mean? It generally means somewhere down the line, some homosexual gave infected blood or a drug user gave blood and that person was infected by sharing a needle with someone who has some link in the past to an infected homosexual. Homosexuals try to pass the buck of this, but we all know where this started and why it spread. Now we all have to worry.
