Isn't there some way the RATS can sabatoge this? Doesn't Kerry have "foreign friends" who can boycott the USA and force the economy back down again?

More than one-quarter of the economists expect the Fed will begin boosting interest rates during the third quarter; 38% say the fourth quarter. I agree: Boom!

Yes, his foreign friends are called Al Quaeda. Look what they did for the Socialists in Spain.

Here's hoping hiring picks up soon. The "jobless recovery" is one of the biggest talking points for the Dems. We need to see monthly new job figures of 200,000 or more.

People seem to forget/have never realized that we are still in a workplace shift every bit as big as those caused by the Industrial Revolution (steam engine primarily), mechanized agriculture, and assembly line mass production. The effects of the infotech/telecom revolution are still being massively felt in workplace displacements, just as farm workers felt it when replaced by a McCormick reaper.
Blaming work dislocations on this or that politician is like blaming a natural disaster on politicians. Bad economic policy via overtaxing is the real enemy, as it extends the economic disruptions (See Depression, Great and Roosevelt, Franklin Delano). "Creating" or "saving" jobs is not something I want the government to be responsible for, other than creating a level playing field and staying out of the way.

Rush is correct. The Demonrats want Americans to suffer and hurt. It's all they have as talking points. It's not just that they want suffering for their own election chances. I've become convinced that they want it for Americans <>at all times. They love being the victim. The Lefties are already nostalgic about the world "support" we had immediately after 9/11 and how Bush has squandered it. Lefties live and breathe in self-pity.

They and their allies in the press already have. Something like 35% of people polled think we are in a RECESSION, right now.

Amazing, isn't it? Can you imagine how Carter would have gloated in 1980 if he had Bush's current economic numbers?

More than one-quarter of the economists expect the Fed will begin boosting interest rates during the third quarter; 38% say the fourth quarter. If the Fed raises rates we will be right back to where we were in late 1999 where 'cost of energy' and 'cost of capital' were at all time highs....

Coupled with this is the brutal fact that third world populations have caught up with us in the skills/production arena - and can easily outbid and in many cases outperform the US worker in the most populous work categories. Yeah, I know, I don't like it either....but reality has a way of persisting despite my likes and dislikes.
Heretofore, if true before, it was "so what", what are they gonna do with those skills and production talent? Spit shine each other's shoes and manufacture better cow dung collectors? No longer so in the age of telecom-ed services and fluid production Capital to formerly risky nation states, now safe due to US government guarantees to emigrating production enterprises.
I'm a firm believer in George W. Bush - because I believe he will best be able to handle any national issue - but I wish he would take another look at unshackling US-based companies and workers.

John F'em Ke(rr)y also has the state and union pension funds around to tank the market (who do you think continued the bubble in '98 when Clinton needed the boost?)

That's what I was originally talking about. Not the RATS deception regarding the state of the economy, but their efforts to actually WRECK the economy.

Amazing, isn't it? Can you imagine how Carter would have gloated in 1980 if he had Bush's current economic numbers? Heck, Clinton WAS gloating with these numbers.
