What do you think of this for a pro-life billboard?

People who advocate abortion should go and watch a few being done. In particular they should view and handle the results. Many would have their minds changed. Not films or tape but be there for real.

Seeing the baby in the woman might change her mind?

Maybe.

It is worth the try.

Nice design!

My two cents:

I lean toward the "the shorter the message, the better" guys. I think "Abortion has killed 44 million children / Vote pro-life" would be sufficient.

But if you want a confrontational appeal inside that sandwich, how about a more positive "You can do something about it" or even "Do something about it".

You would need to supplement the billboard with some sort of campaign informing people who the pro-life candidates are. I wouldn't want it to focus only on Bush or Pres/Sen/Rep because pro-lifers at all levels are important (e.g., the mayor may determine how the police handle abortuary picketters, school board members may determine how the topic is dealt with in school curricula, today's dogcatcher may be a future congressman).

No opinion on the "children / babies" question.

I guess I agree.

Go for it--use "murder!"

I keep forgetting how dumbed down our education and populace have become.

And these ignorant idiots are voting!!!! Sigh. Sheesh!

My idea is to exhort people to vote prolife.

I applaud your efforts and I hope you want candid opinions.

Like the pic, don't like the text or the way it's set up. It will get some backs up and they won't be turned to your goal.

My advice is tone down the in your face rhetoric. You need a simple and appealing soundbite type text.

Like #18 is a good example of what I was getting at.

Rather than saying 44 million, I would write "44,000,000"
I think the impact of how large the number is sets in subconscience deeper when you're staring at an 8-digit number. Keep fighting the good fight.

Yes. As the new ruling points out, a little creature in the womb is emphatically THE BABY when its parents want it. Just the act of NOT WANTING IT appears to remove its human status for the pro-abortion crowd.

Extrapolating that, you get racism and genocide. The So-and-So's can be killed and treated like animals because they are "just pigs."

Why don't they see how intolerant they are? Tolerance means accepting those you don't necessarily like. You don't like your baby because you really just wanted an orgasm and not a child? Or you don't like your baby because she has a cleft palate or Down's? Well, then let's kill it! It's Okayyy! If YOU don't like it, then it doesn't exist!

How is that different from Nazis herding Jews into ovens?

So my vote is still for my post #18. I think it would hit people on the pro-abortion side RIGHT WHERE IT COUNTS and eliminate the doublespeak.

Too many words. Let the image talk. Folks looking at it will be driving and miss it, unless they're no focusing on their primary task. That image appears on billboards up here in WI. Maybe leave "44 million dead" on the bottom.

FWIW. I agree with others who say it's too wordy to be impactful as a billboard. I would probably advocate something stronger, "Stop the Baby Killers - Vote Pro-Life", or something similar.

Works for me.

You have to show the baby. And if dismembered babies are "too much," this is the next best thing.

"If you don't want me, I'm not a baby."

I work in advertising, and I like that. Thought provoking.

Please listen to those of us who know something about marketing and design. Just say, "Abortion has killed 44 million babies. Vote pro-life." No caps; don't shout. The picture shouts enough. And lose the flag. This isn't about patriotism, it's about not killing babies. You get the viewer psychologically confused and less likely to accept your premise when you have two different messages, patriotism and abortion, going at the same time.

That'll work too. Keep it simple. Caps and exclamation points are no-nos.

There are some great suggestions here. I agree with losing the flag, and with Yaelle's slogan --

"If you don't want me, I'm not a baby."

It's brilliant.

If you keep the slogan, I'd have the "44 million" in red as well.

Seeing the baby in the woman might change her mind?

85% of abortion-minded women who see their babies on ultrasound change their minds, versus 15% who don't see their babies. I've talked to a doctor who did ultrasounds at a crisis pregnancy center.

Nothing changes hearts like pictures. Nothing (except video). That's why the other side hates them so much.
