Tuesday, March 30, 2004 12:36 p.m. EST Hillary Predicts October Surprise
New York Sen. Hillary Clinton is predicting that this year's presidential election will be very tight and the victor will win because of "something unforeseen."
"It will be very close," the former first lady tells the New York Post's Cindy Adams.
On how the contest will ultimately be decided, Clinton said, "It will be outside forces - something unforeseen that suddenly happens - that tilts the election one way or the other."
In 1992, Clinton's husband won the White House after Reagan Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger was indicted on Iran-Contra charges four days before the vote. Though the indictment was later overturned, the charges were enough to reverse President Bush 41's last-minute surge in the polls to within one point of Clinton.
In 2000 - again four days before the vote - a Democrat operative in Maine uncovered court records from Bush 43's then-24-year-old DUI stop. Bush's 5-point lead in Florida dwindled to a mere 537 votes, with the DUI news making Gore the popular vote winner nationwide

I think that if the race were as close as the mainstream media would have us believe, Kerry would have raised as much money as Bush. He is waaaaaaaaaaay behind in fundraising, and I believe he will lose in November.

I think your right. I don't think this is going to be a 50/50 election. But watch out for the electoral college.

Well, just in case it turns out to be a 48-state Repub landslide, or something like that, I hope someone saves this quote, just to puke it back at her in extremely large all-caps letters. That will cause her and Wet Willie to shut up and slither back under their marital rock for a few months, as usual.

I think I've come to
feel anger every time I hear mention of those "537" votes (mind you if they could have recounted a few more times, AlGore would surely have won).
Concerning Hillary, she should be concerned. She's sown too much to not reap a whirlwind at some point.

The Dems are going to conjure Merlin the Magician to put a spell on everybody so they don't think Kerry sucks as much as he does. It going to take every bit of magic ever known to pull it off. Short of that some major engineered crisis like the Soros thing has to happen and it will possibly backfire on them.

Theresa Heinz may well bring out her money if things get rough, but I would resent having an election bought, even if it was my own party doing it. Besides, she is coming across as an arrogant, wealthy heiress who spends most of her time with her designer shoe clad foot stuck in her mouth. It seems that every time she speaks, sheoffends someone.
Black voters will have a choice about African-Americans in the November election. The Bush camp is about to have Condoleeza Rice, beautiful, extremely intelligent and one of our President's most trusted advisors on the stand very soon, and as always I expect to be very impressed by her.
On the other hand, they can vote for the man who had Theresa Heinz Kerry as his African-American wife.
Who would you choose?

To: easonc52
Excuse my ignorance, but can she actually do that? Yes and no. It is illegal as hell but if she ( or Soros ) pulls something like that and they win, she can always get a Presidential pardon. If the Dems lose, well Martha Stewart will have a new roommate.
