In an effort to defend National Security Advisor Dr. Condoleezza Rice in advance of her public hearing, the White House tonight will release some specific wording of a 2001 Presidential Directive that directed Pentagon planning for a military strike against al Qaida and Taliban, supporting Dr. Rice's argument that President Bush's administration was planning tougher effort against terrorists groups.

If it backs Dr. Rice, it will be on page A23. Do you really think it will be all the way up in section A?

The Democrats walked as far into the trap as Bush can allow without being accused of playing with them.
Sadly, Bush waits until Kerry ,the war hero, is bedridden and unable to defend his stupidity.

I think Condi will make the Democrats feel as if they have just been hit by that oldest of women's tactics - a knee to the cajones.

Relates to
This Thread.
As was noted there, some on the left may claim this precipitated the 9/11 attack.
