[history]
There was a left-coast slant to the Pulitzer Prize derby this year as the Los Angeles Times dominated the competition with five awards.
The scandal-marred New York Times, which used to clean up, managed only a single award in the Public Service category.

The New York Times was the only New York City paper to win, but it is the second year in a row that the paper won only a single award. That pales in comparison to the record-setting seven awards that it won in 2002 under since-ousted Editor Howell Raines. The paltry showing this year was attributed largely to the questions that swirled around The New York Times after the Jayson Blair plagiarism and fabrication scandal, and the convulsions it caused at the top of the paper, forcing out Raines. I guess Howell will down a good swig or two of Jack after hearing this news.

Articles that won the LA Slimes Pulitzers.
"How they pander to multiculturaliam on the left coast."
"Hollywood sets the moral tone for America."
"Why Gray Davis will survive the recall."

"Why Gray Davis will survive the recall." C'mon, you can't be series.
That's the kind of crack reportage that we've come to expect from the San Jose Murky News.

Wasn't it the LA Times that tried to sink Arnold's campaign?

When the Pulitzer Prize is awarded to newspapers that are nothing more than left-wing (or any other) propaganda outlets, it is of no meaning. Receiving it may have some practical application--you can add it to your resume--but there is no honor in it.

(Was it "Love Story" that was written about John Kerry? Or was it "Washington Square"?)

The LA Slimes may be more of a lying, left wing spinning and left wing barf producer than the NY Slimes.
Their conduct during the Davis recall was vile and repugnant.
