Not comparable to the initial successes of the NVA during Tet68, but getting close.

BULL CRAP!

Guess Jim Miklaszewski Is just taking up where drunk fat Teddy left off the other day. Can CBS bring Uncle Walter out to tell us how horrible it all is and that this is a major setback for coalition forces?

Also it pays to remember that Charlie never took the field after Tet '68. Also Ho and Giap were scared silly that the North would be invaded.

At LAST they have seen the error of their training! No more, I was only a cook or only a mechanic not a soldier! If you send them to a war zone - they had better know how to shoot that rifle!

You're welcome, and thanks for the kind words. My father was a career Navy man - retired senior chief quartermaster, Vietnam (he should be President!) vet.

Senator Bill Nelson of Florida was just on FOX and to paraphrase him he said if we'd done this or if we'd done that in the past we wouldn't be in the deteriorating situation we're now in. And he had a sh!t eating grin on his face when he said it. I couldn't believe it. He seemed happy!!!! What is wrong with these people?

Marines bomb Fallujah mosque

Courier Mail ^ | 07apr04 | From correspondents in Baghdad
US marines pressing an offensive in this Iraqi town west of Baghdad bombed a mosque in the center of the town Wednesday and killed up to 40 insurgents inside, a marine officer said. The attack came from a jet aircraft at a high angle to minimize the impact, the officer said. "We wanted to kill the people inside," said Lieutenant Colonel Brennan Byrne.

I emailed a scathing opinion of that particularly Unfair and Unbalanced segment to that fox show. Not even the anchor was trying to refute the idiot mantra-reciting Nelson. Feh

Hoo, boy, do I remember the "What? me take a company and plug that gap in the perimeter? I'm a staff weenie, not a line puke" attitude" even among officers. I guess it was a non "combat branch" thing.

I was only an artillery officer, and every one of us had to be able to direct and plan fire, hell, even man the guns if need be.
