Just a comment on your handle:

I'm hoping that the election commission and the networks do the right thing and use blue for the incumbent.

I think they are just outright scared to assign the color red to the Democratic National Socialist party candidate, even though it would be correct for several reasons.

Bravo, the gloves are off. I am sick of the "If yuo bomb the mosques we'll hate you" garbage. Haven't they already displayed they hate us?

Why the heck was this not the policy instituted nine months ago, instead of just now, when we know what many of these mosques have been hiding and supporting? Many a poor GI or Marine has lost his life since then and the occupation starting, by vicious and unpunished hit/run attacks orchestrated from these very "religious" sanctuaries.

The Marines of 1945 would not have thought twice about leveling a Shinto Shrine on Okinawa if they knew deadly combatant fire was coming from there and the Sons of the Emperor, dug in & fighting to the death. And in many cases, they did just that.

Finally, today reminds me of early April 1970 when Nixon finally recognized the bleeding of our troops attributable to Viet Cong sanctuaries next door in "NEUTRAL" CAMBODIA. And he finally did something about it.

Pentagon and State, no more political correctness and velvet glove in our Iraq operations. Please!

The vast majority of mosques here in Iraq are totally intact. I've seen a couple that were surrounded by rubble on all sides, but were completely unscathed. The Iraqis understand very clearly that we don't target mosques; they can see that for themselves. The problem is that the appearance of Western armies demolishing Muslim shrines is devastating PR around the region.

The policy that the general is stating is not new. We avoid hitting them, unless military necessity dictates otherwise. In Fallujah, the militia understands that by using the mosque as a base, they're placing the needs of their little uprising over the survivability of their place of worship. That's their choice. They know we'd leave the mosque standing if they were using it for it's intended purpose, but we won't let them use it as a safe haven for organizing attacks.

Contrary to what you may think, everything doesn't relate back to Israel.

The fact terrorists use Mosques to commit murder amongst the US forces relates to Israel whereas these same kind of Arab terrorists have used the same tactics against Israelis, using the cover of religious sites. Israel has received unjust condemnation from the world when action against these sites has taken. I am glad the US has been using these just tactics against the terrorists, which shows that they too are using Israeli tactics, some of which official US policy has condemned in the past. The US and Israel are getting closer as result.

Yeah Im hoping that too. I didnt know that in the past Republicans were blue till I got here with this nick.

Pink would be good for Democrats, or Yellow.

I guess the Sadr-ites will have to be digging some spiperholes now that they cant hide in the mosques.

Good and I hope that gets thru the ears of these Mullahs and Ayatolahhs and their thugs, loud and clear.

Mosques should be used like a giant possumm traps. Bait them with fruit and then dispose of them promptly.

David Hackworth was ranting this AM on WOR radio that it has to be some "trigger happy" pilot who fired on the mosque, how it was a terrible idea, etc, etc. What happened to that guy?

He became a peacenik and joined the dark side.
